Linux-2.6.12-rc2 Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!

This saves space on systems that won't support TTY interfaces anyway. bloat-o-meter output is below. The bulk of this patch consists of Kconfig changes adding "depends on TTY" to various serial devices and similar drivers that require the TTY layer. Ideally, these dependencies would occur on a common intermediate symbol such as SERIO, but most drivers "select SERIO" rather than "depends on SERIO", and "select" does not respect dependencies. bloat-o-meter output comparing our previous minimal to new minimal by removing TTY. selectable for RS-232, V.35, RS-449, RS-530, and X.21
This driver may be built as a module ( = code which can be
inserted in and removed from the running kernel whenever you want).

ipwireless: driver for PC Card 3G/UMTS modem The device is manufactured by IPWireless. In some countries (for example Czech Republic, T-Mobile ISP) this card is shipped for service called UMTS 4G. It's a piece of PCMCIA "4G" UMTS PPP networking hardware that presents itself as a serial character device (i.e. looks like usual modem to userspace, accepts AT commands, etc).
