25880f7d61 ipmi: Use more common logging styles
Add and use #define pr_fmt/dev_fmt, and remove #define PFX

This also prefixes some messages that were not previously prefixed.

Miscellanea:

o Convert printk(KERN_<level> to pr_<level>(

a8627cda7c ipmi: Fix NULL pointer dereference in ssif_probe
There is a potential execution path in which function ssif_info_find()
returns NULL, hence there is a NULL pointer dereference when accessing
pointer *addr_info*

Fix this by null checking *addr_info* before dereferencing it.

0745dde628 ipmi: Fix I2C client removal in the SSIF driver
The SSIF driver was removing any client that came in through the
platform interface, but it should only remove clients that it
added.  On a failure in the probe function, this could result
in the following oops when the driver is removed and the
client gets unregistered twice:

2512e40e48 ipmi: Rework SMI registration failure
There were certain situations where ipmi_register_smi() would
return a failure, but the interface would still be registered
and would need to be unregistered.  This is obviously a bad
design and resulted in an oops in certain failure cases.

If the interface is started up in ipmi_register_smi(), then
an error occurs, shut down the interface there so the
cleanup can be done properly.

Fix the various smi users, too.

6396bb2215 treewide: kzalloc() -> kcalloc()
The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This
patch replaces cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b, gfp)

with:
        kcalloc(a * b, gfp)

as well as handling cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp)

with:

        kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)

as it's slightly less ugly than:

        kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

        kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

1211229399 ipmi_ssif: Fix uninitialized variable issue
Currently, function ssif_remove returns _rv_, which is a variable that
is never initialized.

Fix this by removing variable _rv_ and return 0 instead.

4866b1dce0 ipmi: Remove ACPI SPMI probing from the SSIF (I2C) driver
The IPMI spec states:

  The purpose of the SPMI Table is to provide a mechanism that can
  be used by the OSPM (an ACPI term for “OS Operating System-directed
  configuration and Power Management” essentially meaning an ACPI-aware
  OS or OS loader) very early in the boot process, e.g., before the
  ability to execute ACPI control methods in the OS is available.

When we are probing IPMI in Linux, ACPI control methods are available,
so we shouldn't be probing using SPMI.  It could cause some confusion
during the probing process.

e99e88a9d2 treewide: setup_timer() -> timer_setup()
This converts all remaining cases of the old setup_timer() API into using
timer_setup(), where the callback argument is the structure already
holding the struct timer_list. These should have no behavioral changes,
since they just change which pointer is passed into the callback with
the same available pointers after conversion. It handles the following
examples, in addition to some other variations.

Casting from unsigned long:

    void my_callback(unsigned long data)

c468f911b7 ipmi: Make ipmi_demangle_device_id more generic
Currently, ipmi_demagle_device_id requires a full response buffer in its
data argument. This means we can't use it to parse a response in a
struct ipmi_recv_msg, which has the netfn and cmd as separate bytes.

This change alters the definition and users of ipmi_demangle_device_id
to use a split netfn, cmd and data buffer, so it can be used with
non-sequential responses.

bf10ff69dd ipmi_ssif: remove redundant null check on array client->adapter->name

9467171018 ipmi: Pick up slave address from SMBIOS on an ACPI device
When added by ACPI, the information does not contain the slave address
of the BMC.  However, that information is available from SMBIOS.  So
if we add a device that doesn't have a slave address, look at the other
devices that are duplicate interfaces and see if they have a slave
address.

b4f210541f i2c: add a protocol parameter to the alert callback
.alert() is meant to be generic, but there is currently no way
for the device driver to know which protocol generated the alert.
Add a parameter in .alert() to help the device driver to understand
what is given in data.

This patch is required to have the support of SMBus Host Notify protocol
through .alert().

70f95b76f1 ipmi: Fix the I2C address extraction from SPMI tables
Unlike everywhere else in the IPMI specification, the I2C address
specified in the SPMI table is not shifted to the left one bit with
the LSB zero.  Instead it is not shifted with the MSB zero.

This patch replaces timeval with timespec64 as 32 bit 'struct timeval'
will not give current time beyond 2038.

The patch changes the code to use ktime_get_real_ts64() which returns
a 'struct timespec64' instead of do_gettimeofday() which returns a
'struct timeval'

This patch also alters the format string in pr_info() for now.tv_sec
to incorporate 'long long' on 32 bit architectures.

3d69d43baa ipmi: Fix multi-part message handling
Lots of little fixes for multi-part messages:

The values was not being re-initialized, if something went wrong
handling a multi-part message and it got left in a bad state, it
might be an issue.

The commands were not correct when issuing multi-part reads, the
code was not passing in the proper value for commands.  Also clean
up some minor formatting issues.

Get the block number from the right location, limit the maximum send
message size to 63 bytes and explain why, and fix some minor sylistic
issues.

9162052173 ipmi: Add alert handling to SSIF
The SSIF interface can optionally have an SMBus alert come in when
data is ready.  Unfortunately, the IPMI spec gives wiggle room to
the implementer to allow them to always have the alert enabled,
even if the driver doesn't enable it.  So implement alerts.
If you don't in this situation, the SMBus alert handling will
constantly complain.

5e33cd0c5a ipmi: Remove incorrect use of seq_has_overflowed
commit d6c5dc18d8 ("ipmi: Remove uses of return value of seq_printf")
incorrectly changed the return value of various proc_show functions
to use seq_has_overflowed().

These functions should return 0 on completion rather than 1/true
on overflow.  1 is the same as #define SEQ_SKIP which would cause
the output to not be emitted (skipped) instead.

This is a logical defect only as the length of these outputs are
all smaller than the initial allocation done by the seq filesystem.
