5ca114400d Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/net
en_rx_am.c was deleted in 'net-next' but had a bug fixed in it in
'net'.

The esp{4,6}_offload.c conflicts were overlapping changes.
The 'out' label is removed so we just return ERR_PTR(-EINVAL)
directly.

dac15ed62d media: dt-bindings/media/cec-gpio.txt: mention the CEC/HPD max voltages
Mention the maximum voltages of the CEC and HPD lines. Since in the example
these lines are connected to a Raspberry Pi and the Rpi GPIO lines are 3.3V
it is a good idea to warn against directly connecting the HPD to the Raspberry
Pi's GPIO line.

e3cd973429 media: lirc: lirc mode ioctls deal with current mode

02d742f4b2 media: lirc: lirc daemon fails to detect raw IR device
Since commit 9b6192589be7 ("media: lirc: implement scancode sending"),
and commit de142c324106 ("media: lirc: implement reading scancode")
the lirc features ioctl for raw IR devices advertises two modes for
sending and receiving.

The lirc daemon now fails to detect a raw IR device, both for transmit
and receive.

To fix this, do not advertise the scancode mode in the lirc features
for raw IR devices (however do keep it for scancode devices). The mode
can still be used via the LIRC_SET_{REC,SEND}_MODE ioctl.

dd0273284c sparc64: Oracle DAX driver
DAX is a coprocessor which resides on the SPARC M7 (DAX1) and M8
(DAX2) processor chips, and has direct access to the CPU's L3 caches
as well as physical memory. It can perform several operations on data
streams with various input and output formats. This driver provides a
transport mechanism and has limited knowledge of the various opcodes
and data formats. A user space library provides high level services
and translates these into low level commands which are then passed
into the driver and subsequently the hypervisor and the coprocessor.
The library is the recommended way for applications to use the
coprocessor, and the driver interface is not intended for general use.

6ab1e867ac Few omap interconnect dts fixes for v4.16 merge window

Apologies for not being able to send this earlier but it took

tested with yet to be posted patches to make smartreflex probe

sure we're not introducing regressions for legacy platform data

3214d01f13 KVM: PPC: Book3S: Provide information about hardware/firmware CVE workarounds
This adds a new ioctl, KVM_PPC_GET_CPU_CHAR, that gives userspace
information about the underlying machine's level of vulnerability
to the recently announced vulnerabilities CVE-2017-5715,
CVE-2017-5753 and CVE-2017-5754, and whether the machine provides
instructions to assist software to work around the vulnerabilities.

The ioctl returns two u64 words describing characteristics of the
CPU and required software behaviour respectively, plus two mask
words which indicate which bits have been filled in by the kernel,
for extensibility. The bit definitions are the same as for the
new H_GET_CPU_CHARACTERISTICS hypercall.

There is also a new capability, KVM_CAP_PPC_GET_CPU_CHAR, which
indicates whether the new ioctl is available.

Merge tag 'linux-can-next-for-4.16-20180116' of ssh://gitolite.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mkl/linux-can-next

Marc Kleine-Budde says:

====================
pull-request: can-next 2018-01-16

this is a pull request for net-next/master consisting of 9 patches.

This is a series of patches, some of them initially by Franklin S Cooper
Jr, which was picked up by Faiz Abbas. Faiz Abbas added some patches
while working on this series, I contributed one as well.

The first two patches add support to CAN device infrastructure to limit
the bitrate of a CAN adapter if the used CAN-transceiver has a certain
maximum bitrate.

The remaining patches improve the m_can driver. They add support for
bitrate limiting to the driver, clean up the driver and add support for
runtime PM.
