This mxs usbphy is only needs to be on after system boots
up, and software never needs to control it anymore.
Meanwhile, usbphy's parent needs to be notified if usb
is suspend or not. So we design below mxs usbphy usage:
- usbphy1_gate and usbphy2_gate:
Their parents are dummy clock, we only needs to enable
it after system boots up.
- usbphy1 and usbphy2
Usage reserved bit for this clock, in that case, the refcount
will be updated, but without hardware changing.

Remove 32-bit x86 a cmdline param "no-hlt",
and the cpuinfo_x86.hlt_works_ok that it sets.
If a user wants to avoid HLT, then "idle=poll"
is much more useful, as it avoids invocation of HLT
in idle, while "no-hlt" failed to do so.
Indeed, hlt_works_ok was consulted in only 3 places.
First, in /proc/cpuinfo where "hlt_bug yes"
would be printed if and only if the user booted
the system with "no-hlt" -- as there was no other code
to set that flag.
Second, check_hlt() would not invoke halt() if "no-hlt"
were on the cmdline.
Third, it was consulted in stop_this_cpu(), which is invoked
by native_machine_halt()/reboot_interrupt()/smp_stop_nmi_callback() --
all cases where the machine is being shutdown/reset.
The flag was not consulted in the more frequently invoked
play_dead()/hlt_play_dead() used in processor offline and suspend.
Since Linux-3.0 there has been a run-time notice upon "no-hlt" invocations
indicating that it would be removed in 2012.

mwait_idle() is a C1-only idle loop intended to be more efficient
than HLT, starting on Pentium-4 HT-enabled processors.
But mwait_idle() has been replaced by the more general
mwait_idle_with_hints(), which handles both C1 and deeper C-states.
ACPI processor_idle and intel_idle use only mwait_idle_with_hints(),
and no longer use mwait_idle().
Here we simplify the x86 native idle code by removing mwait_idle(),
and the "idle=mwait" bootparam used to invoke it.
Since Linux 3.0 there has been a boot-time warning when "idle=mwait"
was invoked saying it would be removed in 2012. This removal
was also noted in the (now removed:-) feature-removal-schedule.txt.
After this change, kernels configured with
(CONFIG_ACPI=n && CONFIG_INTEL_IDLE=n) when run on hardware
that supports MWAIT will simply use HLT. If MWAIT is desired
on those systems, cpuidle and the cpuidle drivers above
can be enabled.

At present, the value of timeout for freezing is 20s, which is
meaningless in case that one thread is frozen with mutex locked
and another thread is trying to lock the mutex, as this time of
freezing will fail unavoidably.
And if there is no new wakeup event registered, the system will
waste at most 20s for such meaningless trying of freezing.
With this patch, the value of timeout can be configured to smaller
value, so such meaningless trying of freezing will be aborted in
earlier time, and later freezing can be also triggered in earlier
time. And more power will be saved.
In normal case on mobile phone, it costs real little time to freeze
processes. On some platform, it only costs about 20ms to freeze
user space processes and 10ms to freeze kernel freezable threads.

The Marvell Kirkwood SoCs have simple cpufreq support in hardware. The
CPU can either use the a high speed cpu clock, or the slower DDR
clock. Add a driver to swap between these two clock sources.

OVMF (an implementation of UEFI based on TianoCore used in virtual
environments) now has the ability to boot Linux natively; this is used
for "qemu -kernel" and similar things in a UEFI environment.
Accordingly, assign it a bootloader ID.

This patch adds new capture board Hawell HW-9004V1. This card has 4 SAA71300 chips. In order to work it is needed to initialize its registers (gpio mask and value). The value of these registers were dumped under Windows using flytest.

Create cmd_dtc_cpp to run the C pre-processor on *.dts file before

Some matrix keypad drivers can support different numbers of rows and
columns. Add a generic binding for these.
Implementation note:
In order to implement this binding in the kernel, we will need to modify
matrix_keypad_() to look up the number of rows and cols in
the keymap. Perhaps this could be done by passing 0 for these parameters?
Many of the parameters can already be set to NULL. Ick.

Instead of reimplementing all of the dma_buf functionality in every driver,
create helpers drm_prime_import and drm_prime_export that implement them in
terms of new, lower-level hook functions:
gem_prime_pin: callback when a buffer is created, used to pin buffers into GTT
gem_prime_get_sg_table: convert a drm_gem_object to an sg_table for export
gem_prime_import_sg_table: convert an sg_table into a drm_gem_object
gem_prime_vmap, gem_prime_vunmap: map and unmap an object
These hooks are optional; drivers can opt in by using drm_gem_prime_import and
drm_gem_prime_export as the .gem_prime_import and .gem_prime_export fields of
struct drm_driver.

- Drop .begin_cpu_access. None of the drivers this code replaces implemented
it. Having it here was a leftover from when I was trying to include i915 in
this rework.
- Use mutex_lock instead of mutex_lock_interruptible, as these three drivers

Some of the ZL6100 compatible chips support monitoring a separate voltage pin,
VMON (ZL2004) or VDRV (ZL91xx). Report it as in2 / vmon.
The chips support implicit warning limits for VMON/VDRV, as percentage of the
respective critical voltage. Support by reading/writing the critical voltages
and calculating the associated warning voltages.

The LM73 supports four A/D conversion resolutions. The default used by
the existing lm73 driver is the chip's default, 11-bit (0.25 C/LSB).
This patch enables changing of this resolution from userspace via the
update_interval sysfs attribute. Full details on usage are included in
Documentation/hwmon/lm73.

The IMA policy permits specifying rules to enable or disable
measurement/appraisal/audit based on the file system magic number.
If, for example, the policy contains an ext4 measurement rule,
the rule is enabled for all ext4 partitions.
Sometimes it might be necessary to enable measurement/appraisal/audit
only for one partition and disable it for another partition of the
same type. With the existing IMA policy syntax, this can not be done.
This patch provides support for IMA policy rules to specify the file
system by its UUID (eg. fsuuid=397449cd-687d-4145-8698-7fed4a3e0363).
For partitions not being appraised, it might be a good idea to mount
file systems with the 'noexec' option to prevent executing non-verified
binaries.

This patch adds support to set the emulated temperature method in
thermal zone (sensor). After setting this feature thermal zone may
report this temperature and not the actual temperature. The emulation
implementation may be based on sensor capability through platform
specific handler or pure software emulation if no platform handler defined.
This is useful in debugging different temperature threshold and its
associated cooling action. Critical threshold's cannot be emulated.
Writing 0 on this node should disable emulation.

Intel PowerClamp driver performs synchronized idle injection across
all online CPUs. The goal is to maintain a given package level C-state
ratio.
Compared to other throttling methods already exist in the kernel,
such as ACPI PAD (taking CPUs offline) and clock modulation, this is often
more efficient in terms of performance per watt.

The struct v4l2_capability card field stores the device name. That name
can be hardcoded in drivers, or be retrieved directly from the device.
The later is very common with USB devices. As several devices already
report names that include non-ASCII characters, update the field
description to use UTF-8.

The Tegra USB driver has a number of issues:
1) The PHY driver isn't a true platform device, and doesn't implement
the standard USB PHY API.
2) struct device instance numbers were used to make decisions in the
driver, rather than being parameterized by DT or platform data.
This pull request solves issue (2), and lays the groundwork for solving
issue (1). The work on issue (1) involved introducing new DT nodes for
the USB PHYs, which in turn interacted with the Tegra common clock
framework changes, due to the move of clock lookups into device tree.
Hence, these USB driver changes are taken through the Tegra tree with
acks from USB maintainers.

ARM: tegra: USB driver cleanup
The Tegra USB driver has a number of issues:
1) The PHY driver isn't a true platform device, and doesn't implement
the standard USB PHY API.
2) struct device instance numbers were used to make decisions in the
driver, rather than being parameterized by DT or platform data.
This pull request solves issue (2), and lays the groundwork for solving
issue (1). The work on issue (1) involved introducing new DT nodes for
the USB PHYs, which in turn interacted with the Tegra common clock
framework changes, due to the move of clock lookups into device tree.
Hence, these USB driver changes are taken through the Tegra tree with
acks from USB maintainers.
This pull request is based on the previous pull request, with tag
tegra-for-3.9-soc-ccf.
