With clang's kernel control flow integrity (kCFI, CONFIG_CFI_CLANG),
indirect call targets are validated against the expected function
pointer prototype to make sure the call target is valid to help mitigate
ROP attacks. If they are not identical, there is a failure at run time,
which manifests as either a kernel panic or thread getting killed. A
proposed warning in clang aims to catch these at compile time, which
reveals:
drivers/gpu/drm/mediatek/mtk_hdmi.c:1407:16: error: incompatible function pointer types initializing 'enum drm_mode_status (*)(struct drm_bridge *, const struct drm_display_info *, const struct drm_display_mode *)' with an expression of type 'int (struct drm_bridge *, const struct drm_display_info *, const struct drm_display_mode *)' [-Werror,-Wincompatible-function-pointer-types-strict]
.mode_valid = mtk_hdmi_bridge_mode_valid,
^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 error generated.
->mode_valid() in 'struct drm_bridge_funcs' expects a return type of
'enum drm_mode_status', not 'int'. Adjust the return type of
mtk_hdmi_bridge_mode_valid() to match the prototype's to resolve the
warning and CFI failure.

[Why]
Some userspaces assume that the first connected connector is the "main"
display, which supposed to display, for example, the login screen.
For laptops, this should be the internal connector.
[How]
This patch calls drm_helper_move_panel_connectors_to_head() right before
crtc creation to ensure internal connectors are at the top of the
connector list.
Tested by ensuring the internal panels are at the top of the connector
list via modetest -c.
This patch does to mediatek what the following patch
https://www.spinics.net/lists/stable/msg590605.html
did for qualcomm.

As the comment right before the mtk_dsi_stop() call advises,
mtk_dsi_stop() should only be called after
mtk_drm_crtc_atomic_disable(). That's because that function calls
drm_crtc_wait_one_vblank(), which requires the vblank irq to be enabled.
Previously mtk_dsi_stop(), being in mtk_dsi_poweroff() and guarded by a
refcount, would only be called at the end of
mtk_drm_crtc_atomic_disable(), through the call to mtk_crtc_ddp_hw_fini().
Commit cde7e2e35c28 ("drm/mediatek: Separate poweron/poweroff from
enable/disable and define new funcs") moved the mtk_dsi_stop() call to
mtk_output_dsi_disable(), causing it to be called before
mtk_drm_crtc_atomic_disable(), and consequently generating vblank
timeout warnings during suspend.
Move the mtk_dsi_stop() call back to mtk_dsi_poweroff() so that we have
a working vblank irq during mtk_drm_crtc_atomic_disable() and stop
getting vblank timeout warnings.

From the DP spec 1.4a chapter 3.3, upstream devices should implement
HPD signal de-bouncing on an external connection.
A period of 100ms should be used to detect an HPD connect event.
To cover these cases, HPD de-bounce should be implemented only after
HPD low has been detected for at least 100ms.
Therefore,
1. If HPD is low (which means plugging out) for longer than 100ms:
we need to do de-bouncing (which means we need to wait for 100ms).
2. If HPD low is for less than 100ms:
we don't need to care about the de-bouncing.
In this patch, we start a 100ms timer and use a need_debounce boolean
to implement the feature.
Two cases when HPD is high:
1. If the timer is expired (>100ms):
- need_debounce is true.
- When HPD high (plugging event comes), need_debounce will be true
and then we need to do de-bouncing (wait for 100ms).
2. If the timer is not expired (<100ms):
- need_debounce is false.
- When HPD high (plugging event comes), need_debounce will be false
and no need to do de-bouncing.

This patch adds a embedded displayport driver for the MediaTek mt8195 SoC.
It supports the MT8195, the embedded DisplayPort units. It offers
DisplayPort 1.4 with up to 4 lanes.
The driver creates a child device for the phy. The child device will
never exist without the parent being active. As they are sharing a
register range, the parent passes a regmap pointer to the child so that
both can work with the same register range. The phy driver sets device
data that is read by the parent to get the phy device that can be used
to control the phy properties.

Rename "GEM CMA" helpers to "GEM DMA" helpers - considering the
hierarchy of APIs (mm/cma -> dma -> gem dma) calling them "GEM
DMA" seems to be more applicable.
Besides that, commit e57924d4ae80 ("drm/doc: Task to rename CMA helpers")
requests to rename the CMA helpers and implies that people seem to be
confused about the naming.
In order to do this renaming the following script was used:
```
#!/bin/bash
DIRS="drivers/gpu include/drm Documentation/gpu"
REGEX_SYM_UPPER="[0-9A-Z_\-]"
REGEX_SYM_LOWER="[0-9a-z_\-]"
REGEX_GREP_UPPER="(${REGEX_SYM_UPPER}*)(GEM)_CMA_(${REGEX_SYM_UPPER}*)"
REGEX_GREP_LOWER="(${REGEX_SYM_LOWER}*)(gem)_cma_(${REGEX_SYM_LOWER}*)"
REGEX_SED_UPPER="s/${REGEX_GREP_UPPER}/\1\2_DMA_\3/g"
REGEX_SED_LOWER="s/${REGEX_GREP_LOWER}/\1\2_dma_\3/g"
# Find all upper case 'CMA' symbols and replace them with 'DMA'.
for ff in $(grep -REHl "${REGEX_GREP_UPPER}" $DIRS)
sed -i -E "$REGEX_SED_UPPER" $ff
# Find all lower case 'cma' symbols and replace them with 'dma'.
for ff in $(grep -REHl "${REGEX_GREP_LOWER}" $DIRS)
do
sed -i -E "$REGEX_SED_LOWER" $ff
done
# Replace all occurrences of 'CMA' / 'cma' in comments and
# documentation files with 'DMA' / 'dma'.
for ff in $(grep -RiHl " cma " $DIRS)
do
sed -i -E "s/ cma / dma /g" $ff
sed -i -E "s/ CMA / DMA /g" $ff
done
# Rename all 'cma_obj's to 'dma_obj'.
for ff in $(grep -RiHl "cma_obj" $DIRS)
do
sed -i -E "s/cma_obj/dma_obj/g" $ff
done
```
Only a few more manual modifications were needed, e.g. reverting the
following modifications in some DRM Kconfig files
- select CMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS
+ select DMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS
as well as manually picking the occurrences of 'CMA'/'cma' in comments and
documentation which relate to "GEM CMA", but not "FB CMA".
Also drivers/gpu/drm/Makefile was fixed up manually after renaming
drm_gem_cma_helper.c to drm_gem_dma_helper.c.
This patch is compile-time tested building a x86_64 kernel with
`make allyesconfig && make drivers/gpu/drm`.

Dp_intf supports YUV422 as output format. In MT8195 Chrome project,

To support this, it is also needed to support color format transfer.
Color format transfer is a new feature for both dpi and dpintf of MT8195.

The hardware design of dp_intf does not support input swap, so we add
a bit of flexibility to support SoCs without swap_input support.
We also add a warning message if the hardware is not supported and it
needs to swap input.

Dp_intf does not support CK/DE polarity because the polarity information
is not used for eDP and DP while dp_intf is only for eDP and DP.
Therefore, we add a bit of flexibility to support SoCs without CK/DE pol
support.

For RGB colorimetry, CTA-861 support both limited and full range data
when receiving video with RGB color space.
We use drm_default_rgb_quant_range() to determine the correct setting.
