32d63fa1e9 ice: Initialize DDP package structures
Add functions to initialize, parse, and clean structures representing
the DDP package.

Upon completion of package download, read and store the DDP package
contents to these structures.  This configuration is used to
identify the default behavior and later used to update the HW table
entries.

c764881096 ice: Implement Dynamic Device Personalization (DDP) download
Add the required defines, structures, and functions to enable downloading
a DDP package.  Before download, checks are performed to ensure the package
is valid and compatible.

Note that package download is not yet requested by the driver as further
initialization is required to utilize the package.

870f805e97 ice: Fix FW version formatting in dmesg
The FW build id is currently being displayed as an int which doesn't make
sense. Instead display FW build id as a hex value. Also add other useful
information to the output such as NVM version, API patch info, and FW
build hash.

50e107ff22 wil6210: ignore reset errors for FW during probe
There are special kinds of FW such as WMI only which
are used for testing, diagnostics and other specific
scenario.
Such FW is loaded during driver probe and the driver
disallows enabling any network interface, to avoid
operational issues.
In many cases it is used to debug early versions
of FW with new features, which sometimes fail
on startup.
Currently when such FW fails to load (for example,
because of init failure), the driver probe would fail
and shutdown the device making it difficult to debug
the early failure.
To fix this, ignore load failures in WMI only FW and
allow driver probe to succeed, making it possible to
continue and debug the FW load failure.

068f359aac wil6210: properly initialize discovery_expired_work
Upon driver rmmod, cancel_work_sync() can be invoked on
p2p.discovery_expired_work before this work struct was initialized.
This causes a WARN_ON with newer kernel version.

Add initialization of discovery_expired_work inside wil_vif_init().

f4519fd937 wil6210: make sure DR bit is read before rest of the status message
Due to compiler optimization, it's possible that dr_bit (descriptor
ready) is read last from the status message.
Due to race condition between HW writing the status message and
driver reading it, other fields that were read earlier (before dr_bit)
could have invalid values.

Fix this by explicitly reading the dr_bit first and then using rmb
before reading the rest of the status message.

42fe1e519e wil6210: fix PTK re-key race
Fix a race between cfg80211 add_key call and transmitting of 4/4 EAP
packet. In case the transmit is delayed until after the add key takes
place, message 4/4 will be encrypted with the new key, and the
receiver side (AP) will drop it due to MIC error.

Wil6210 will monitor and look for the transmitted packet 4/4 eap key.
In case add_key takes place before the transmission completed, then
wil6210 will let the FW store the key and wil6210 will notify the FW
to use the PTK key only after 4/4 eap packet transmission was
completed.

977c45ab5f wil6210: add debugfs to show PMC ring content
PMC is a hardware debug mechanism which allows capturing real time
debug data and stream it to host memory. The driver allocates memory
buffers and set them inside PMC ring of descriptors.
Add pmcring debugfs that application can use to read the binary
content of descriptors inside the PMC ring (cat pmcring).

6be6c04bcc ath10k: fix channel info parsing for non tlv target
The tlv targets such as WCN3990 send more data in the chan info event, which is
not sent by the non tlv targets. There is a minimum size check in the wmi event
for non-tlv targets and hence we cannot update the common channel info
structure as it was done in commit 13104929d2 ("ath10k: fill the channel
survey results for WCN3990 correctly"). This broke channel survey results on
10.x firmware versions.

If the common channel info structure is updated, the size check for chan info
event for non-tlv targets will fail and return -EPROTO and we see the below
error messages

   ath10k_pci 0000:01:00.0: failed to parse chan info event: -71

Add tlv specific channel info structure and restore the original size of the
common channel info structure to mitigate this issue.

b713996083 ath10k: adjust skb length in ath10k_sdio_mbox_rx_packet
When the FW bundles multiple packets, pkt->act_len may be incorrect
as it refers to the first packet only (however, the FW will only
bundle packets that fit into the same pkt->alloc_len).

Before this patch, the skb length would be set (incorrectly) to
pkt->act_len in ath10k_sdio_mbox_rx_packet, and then later manually
adjusted in ath10k_sdio_mbox_rx_process_packet.

The first problem is that ath10k_sdio_mbox_rx_process_packet does not
use proper skb_put commands to adjust the length (it directly changes
skb->len), so we end up with a mismatch between skb->head + skb->tail
and skb->data + skb->len. This is quite serious, and causes corruptions
in the TCP stack, as the stack tries to coalesce packets, and relies
on skb->tail being correct (that is, skb_tail_pointer must point to
the first byte_after_ the data).

Instead of re-adjusting the size in ath10k_sdio_mbox_rx_process_packet,
this moves the code to ath10k_sdio_mbox_rx_packet, and also add a
bounds check, as skb_put would crash the kernel if not enough space is
available.

Tested with QCA6174 SDIO with firmware
WLAN.RMH.4.4.1-00007-QCARMSWP-1.

b3281c6cb7 ath10k: free beacon buf later in vdev teardown
My wave-1 firmware often crashes when I am bringing down
AP vdevs, and sometimes at least some machines lockup hard
after spewing IOMMU errors.

I don't see the same issue in STA mode, so I suspect beacons
are the issue.

Moving the beacon buf deletion to later in the vdev teardown
logic appears to help this problem.  Firmware still crashes
often, but several iterations did not show IOMMU errors and
machine didn't hang.

Tested hardware: QCA9880
Tested firmware: ath10k-ct from beginning of 2019, exact version unknown

f39b683d35 ixgbe: Fix secpath usage for IPsec TX offload.
The ixgbe driver currently does IPsec TX offloading
based on an existing secpath. However, the secpath
can also come from the RX side, in this case it is
misinterpreted for TX offload and the packets are
dropped with a "bad sa_idx" error. Fix this by using
the xfrm_offload() function to test for TX offload.

421bceb270 nfp: read chip model from the PluDevice register
The PluDevice register provides the authoritative chip model/revision.

Since the model number is purely used for reporting purposes, follow
the hardware team convention of subtracting 0x10 from the PluDevice
register to obtain the chip model/revision number.

bf280c0387 ixgbe: fix double clean of Tx descriptors with xdp
Tx code doesn't clear the descriptors' status after cleaning.
So, if the budget is larger than number of used elems in a ring, some
descriptors will be accounted twice and xsk_umem_complete_tx will move
prod_tail far beyond the prod_head breaking the completion queue ring.

Fix that by limiting the number of descriptors to clean by the number
of used descriptors in the Tx ring.

'ixgbe_clean_xdp_tx_irq()' function refactored to look more like
'ixgbe_xsk_clean_tx_ring()' since we're allowed to directly use
'next_to_clean' and 'next_to_use' indexes.

377228accb ixgbe: Prevent u8 wrapping of ITR value to something less than 10us
There were a couple cases where the ITR value generated via the adaptive
ITR scheme could exceed 126. This resulted in the value becoming either 0
or something less than 10. Switching back and forth between a value less
than 10 and a value greater than 10 can cause issues as certain hardware
features such as RSC to not function well when the ITR value has dropped
that low.

1f459bdc20 i40e: fix potential RX buffer starvation for AF_XDP
When the RX rings are created they are also populated with buffers
so that packets can be received. Usually these are kernel buffers,
but for AF_XDP in zero-copy mode, these are user-space buffers and
in this case the application might not have sent down any buffers
to the driver at this point. And if no buffers are allocated at ring
creation time, no packets can be received and no interrupts will be
generated so the NAPI poll function that allocates buffers to the
rings will never get executed.

To rectify this, we kick the NAPI context of any queue with an
attached AF_XDP zero-copy socket in two places in the code. Once
after an XDP program has loaded and once after the umem is registered.
This take care of both cases: XDP program gets loaded first then AF_XDP
socket is created, and the reverse, AF_XDP socket is created first,
then XDP program is loaded.

c5c922b3e0 iavf: fix MAC address setting for VFs when filter is rejected
Currently iavf unconditionally applies MAC address change requests. This
brings the VF in a state where it is no longer able to pass traffic if
the PF rejects a MAC filter change for the VF.
A typical scenario for a rejected MAC filter is for an untrusted VF to
request to change the MAC address when an administratively set MAC is
present.

To keep iavf working in this scenario the MAC filter handling in iavf
needs to act on the PF reply regarding the MAC filter change. In the
case of an ack the new MAC address gets set, whereas in the case of a
nack the previous MAC address needs to stay in place.

Investigation revealed a race where pf->vf[vsi->vf_id].trusted may get

In ixgbe_configure_clsu32(), 'jump', 'input', and 'mask' are allocated
through kzalloc() respectively in a for loop body. Then,
ixgbe_clsu32_build_input() is invoked to build the input. If this process
fails, next iteration of the for loop will be executed. However, the
allocated 'jump', 'input', and 'mask' are not deallocated on this execution
path, leading to memory leaks.

0060c87833 net: stmmac: implement support for passive mode converters via dt
In-between the MAC & PHY there can be a mode converter, which converts one
mode to another (e.g. GMII-to-RGMII).

The converter, can be passive (i.e. no driver or OS/SW information
required), so the MAC & PHY need to be configured differently.

For the `stmmac` driver, this is implemented via a `mac-mode` property in
the device-tree, which configures the MAC into a certain mode, and for the
PHY a `phy_interface` field will hold the mode of the PHY. The mode of the
PHY will be passed to the PHY and from there-on it work in a different
mode. If unspecified, the default `phy-mode` will be used for both.

Currently when hns3 driver configures the tm shaper to limit
bandwidth below 20Mbit using the parameters calculated by
hclge_shaper_para_calc(), the actual bandwidth limited by tm
hardware module is not accurate enough, for example, 1.28 Mbit
when the user is configuring 1 Mbit.

This patch adjusts the ir_calc to be closer to ir, and
always calculate the ir_b parameter when user is configuring

After setting new channel num, it needs free old ring memory and
allocate new ring memory. If there is no enough memory and allocate
new ring memory fail, the ring may initialize fail. To make sure

f8921d7330 nfp: honor FW reset and loading policies
The firmware reset and loading policies can be controlled with the
combination of three hwinfo keys, 'abi_drv_reset', 'abi_drv_load_ifc'
and 'app_fw_from_flash'.

'app_fw_from_flash' defines which firmware should take precedence,
'Disk', 'Flash' or the 'Preferred' firmware. When 'Preferred'
is selected, the management firmware makes the decision on which
firmware will be loaded by comparing versions of the flash firmware
and the host supplied firmware.

'abi_drv_reset' defines when the driver should reset the firmware when
the driver is probed, either 'Disk' if firmware was found on disk,
'Always' reset or 'Never' reset. Note that the device is always reset
on driver unload if firmware was loaded when the driver was probed.

'abi_drv_load_ifc' defines a list of PF devices allowed to load FW on
the device.

Furthermore, we limit the cases to where the driver will unload firmware
again when the driver is removed to only when firmware was loaded by the
driver and only if this particular device was the only one that could
have loaded firmware. This is needed to avoid firmware being removed
while in use on multi-host platforms.

There are cases where we want to read a hwinfo entry from the NFP, and
if it doesn't exist, use a default value instead.

To support this, we must silence warning/error messages when the hwinfo
entry doesn't exist since this is a valid use case. The NSP command
structure provides the ability to silence command errors, in which case
the caller should log any command errors appropriately. Protocol errors
are unaffected by this.

For sdio chip, if the rssi is not good, then it have some retry,
firmware will indicate the msdu list of a ppdu with a hole, it
means it lost the hole msdu, after the msdu retry from AP, the
hole msdu will indicate from firmware later. The hole msdu's PN
check will fail and the hole msdu will be dropped.

by hardware, it need to reserve 8 bytes for encryption, otherwise

e7ba676c61 ixgbe: sync the first fragment unconditionally
In Xen environment, if Xen-swiotlb is enabled, ixgbe driver
could possibly allocate a page, DMA memory buffer, for the first
fragment which is not suitable for Xen-swiotlb to do DMA operations.
Xen-swiotlb have to internally allocate another page for doing DMA
operations. This mechanism requires syncing the data from the internal
page to the page which ixgbe sends to upper network stack. However,
since commit f3213d9321 ("ixgbe: Update driver to make use of DMA
attributes in Rx path"), the unmap operation is performed with
DMA_ATTR_SKIP_CPU_SYNC. As a result, the sync is not performed.
Since the sync isn't performed, the upper network stack could receive
a incomplete network packet. By incomplete, it means the linear data
on the first fragment(between skb->head and skb->end) is invalid. So
we have to copy the data from the internal xen-swiotlb page to the page
which ixgbe sends to upper network stack through the sync operation.

More details from Alexander Duyck:
Specifically since we are mapping the frame with
DMA_ATTR_SKIP_CPU_SYNC we have to unmap with that as well. As a result
a sync is not performed on an unmap and must be done manually as we
skipped it for the first frag. As such we need to always sync before
possibly performing a page unmap operation.

54579ca837 i40e: Implement debug macro hw_dbg using dev_dbg
There are several uses of hw_dbg in the code, producing no output. This
patch implements it using dev_debug.

Initially the intention was to implement it using netdev_dbg, analogously
to what is done in ixgbe for instance. That approach was avoided due to
some early usages of hw_dbg, like i40e_pf_reset, before the VSI structure
initialization causing NULL pointer dereference during the driver probe if
the debug messages were turned on as soon as the module is probed.

 - Use dev_dbg instead of pr_debug, and take advantage of dev_name
instead of crafting pretty much the same device name locally as suggested

0ea7e88d3f fm10k: use a local variable for the frag pointer
In the function fm10k_xmit_frame_ring, we recently switched to using
the skb_frag_size accessor instead of directly using the size member of
the skb fragment.

This made the for loop slightly harder to read because it created a very
long line that is difficult to split up. Avoid this by using a local
variable in the for loop, so that we do not have to break the line on an
open parenthesis.

dee23594d5 e1000e: Make speed detection on hotplugging cable more reliable
After hot plugging an 1Gbps Ethernet cable with 1Gbps link partner, the
MII_BMSR may report 10Mbps, renders the network rather slow.

The issue has much lower fail rate after commit 59653e6497 ("e1000e:
Make watchdog use delayed work"), which essentially introduces some
delay before running the watchdog task.

But there's still a chance that the hot plugging event and the queued
watchdog task gets run at the same time, then the original issue can be
observed once again.

So let's use mod_delayed_work() to add a deterministic 1 second delay
before running watchdog task, after an interrupt.

This patch fixed issue in VM which shows no link when hypervisor is
restored from low-power state. The driver is responsible for re-enabling

Flower control message replies are handled in different locations. The truly
high priority replies are handled in the BH (tasklet) context, while the
remaining replies are handled in a predefined Linux work queue. The work
queue handler orders replies into high and low priority groups, and always
start servicing the high priority replies within the received batch first.

A subset of control messages can block waiting for an rtnl lock (from both
work queue priority groups). The rtnl lock is heavily contended for by
external processes such as systemd-udevd, systemd-network and libvirtd,
especially during netdev creation, such as when flower VFs and representors
are instantiated.

Kernel netlink instrumentation shows that external processes (such as
systemd-udevd) often use successive rtnl_trylock() sequences, which can result
in an rtnl_lock() blocked control message to starve for longer periods of time
during rtnl lock contention, i.e. netdev creation.

In the current design a single blocked control message will block the entire
work queue (both priorities), and introduce a latency which is
nondeterministic and dependent on system wide rtnl lock usage.

In some extreme cases, one blocked control message at exactly the wrong time,
just before the maximum number of VFs are instantiated, can block the work
queue for long enough to prevent VF representor REIFY replies from getting
handled in time for the 40ms timeout.

The firmware will deliver the total maximum number of REIFY message replies in
around 300us.

Only REIFY and MTU update messages require replies within a timeout period (of
40ms). The MTU-only updates are already done directly in the BH (tasklet)
handler.

Move the REIFY handler down into the BH (tasklet) in order to resolve timeouts
caused by a blocked work queue waiting on rtnl locks.

VF NIC may go down then come up during host servicing events. This
causes the VF NIC offloading feature settings to roll back to the
defaults. This patch can synchronize features from synthetic NIC to

by reporting link down for VF's when the PF queues are not enabled.

Akeem updates the driver to report the VF link status once we get VF
resources so that we can reflect the link status similarly to how the PF
reports link speed.

Ashish updates the transmit context structure based on recent changes to
the hardware specification.

Dave updates the DCB logic to allow a delayed registration for MIB
change events so that the driver is not accepting events before it is
ready for them.

d9c0f2756a net: hns3: fix error VF index when setting VLAN offload
In original codes, the VF index used incorrectly in function
hclge_set_vlan_rx_offload_cfg() and hclge_set_vlan_rx_offload_cfg().
When VF id is greater than 8, for example 9, it will set the
same bit with VF id 1.

This patch fixes it by using  vport->vport_id % HCLGE_VF_NUM_PER_CMD /
HCLGE_VF_NUM_PER_BYTE as the array index, instead of vport->vport_id /
HCLGE_VF_NUM_PER_CMD.

While running stmmac selftests I found that in my 1G setup some tests
were failling when running with PHY loopback enabled.

It looks like when loopback is enabled the PHY will report that Link is
down even though there is a valid connection.

As in loopback mode the data will not be sent anywhere we can bypass the
logic of checking if Link is valid thus saving unecessary reads.

f4b633b911 forcedeth: use per cpu to collect xmit/recv statistics
When testing with a background iperf pushing 1Gbit/sec traffic and running
both ifconfig and netstat to collect statistics, some deadlocks occurred.

Ifconfig and netstat will call nv_get_stats64 to get software xmit/recv
statistics. In the commit f5d827aece ("forcedeth: implement
ndo_get_stats64() API"), the normal tx/rx variables is to collect tx/rx
statistics. The fix is to replace normal tx/rx variables with per
cpu 64-bit variable to collect xmit/recv statistics. The per cpu variable
will avoid deadlocks and provide fast efficient statistics updates.

In nv_probe, the per cpu variable is initialized. In nv_remove, this
per cpu variable is freed.

In xmit/recv process, this per cpu variable will be updated.

In nv_get_stats64, this per cpu variable on each cpu is added up. Then
the driver can get xmit/recv packets statistics.

A test runs for several days with this commit, the deadlocks disappear
and the performance is better.

Use cancel_delayed_work_sync on the dump workers only in case of
unloading the op mode. In any other case use iwl_fw_flush_dumps or
iwl_fw_dbg_stop_sync (depends if the op mode mutex is held or not).
This way, the driver will wait until debug data is collected in all
cases but op mode unloading.

94b952b55c iwlwifi: mvm: don't log un-decrypted frames
Sometimes the firmware won't be able to decrypt frames
because the keys were not installed yet or other scenarios.
The firmware will soon stop dropping multicast frames when
MAC_FILTER_ACCEPT_GRP is not set. The firmware will simply
always pass multicast frame in.

In order to avoid logging any such frame coming in when we
don't have the keys, drop the print.

5952e0ec3f iwlwifi: mvm: add support for single antenna diversity
There are products which have a single chain with 2 antennas.
In these products, we need to inform the FW that the device has the
single antenna diversity(SAD) feature. In the future, we will read
the active antenna from a BIOS configuration. Currently, we use a
default configuration which means that the FW decides which antenna to use.

fe69b7d124 iwlwifi: mvm: handle BAR_FRAME_RELEASE (0xc2) notification
In prior hardware generations (e.g. 9000 series), we received the BAR
frame with fake NSSN information to handle releasing frames from the
reorder buffer for the default queue, the other queues were getting
the FRAME_RELEASE notification in this case.

With multi-TID block-ack, the firmware no longer sends us the BAR
frame because the fake RX is quite big (just the metadata is around
48 bytes or so). Instead, it now sends us one (or multiple) special
release notifications (0xc2). The hardware consumes these as well,
but only generates the FRAME_RELEASE (0xc3) for queues other than
the default queue. We thus need to handle them in the same way we
handle the normal FRAME_RELEASE.

0968fbfa41 iwlwifi: mvm: drop BA sessions on too many old-SN frames
Certain APs (I think a certain Broadcom model) interact badly with our
full state BA bitmap handling, and if triggered badly with many powersave
transitions they keep sending frames from before the window, which our
hardware then doesn't appear to ACK (to them) since it has moved on and
is sending ACKs for higher SNs now.

Try to detect this situation and if this keeps happening, disable the
aggregation session.

e5f3f215d0 iwlwifi: add support for suspend-resume flow for new device generation
The new device generation has a slightly different suspend resume flow
Currently, the way the driver instruct the device to move to D3 is by
sending D3_CONFIG_CMD.
Instead of using the host command the indication is by writing to the
doorbell interrupt.
The FW will respond with interrupt to indicate transition completion.

0c18714a0d iwlwifi: pcie: set iwl_trans->cfg later in the probe function
Instead of setting the cfg to iwl_trans already during allocation, set
it only later when we have had the time to decide which cfg to use.
This is part of the effort to be able to decide the cfg based on HW
revision and RF ID after iwl_trans_alloc() has been called.

For now, since we still have a bunch of code checking the HW revision
and the RF ID, we set iwl_trans->cfg early, even before we decided the
real cfg to use.  We only use the trans configuration at this point,
so this is fine for now.  In the future, the trans configuration will
be completely independent from the rest of the config structure, so
we'll be able to avoid this.

Additionally, we can't access the PRPH registers in iwl_trans_alloc()
anymore, so move the HW REV C-step check for family 8000 code later to
the probe function as well.  This step is probably not necessary, but
if that's the case it should be removed separately later on.

In order to be able to select the cfg depending on the HW revision or
on the RF ID, we need to set up the trans before selecting the cfg.
To do so, move the elements from cfg that are needed by

can be used by other cfg types as well, before selecting the rest of
the configuration.

6ce1e5c0c2 iwlwifi: support per-platform antenna gain
TX power limits as defined in the OTP assume the worst case scenario
in terms of the platform's atenna gain, but most platforms are below
that value so they can use more TX power without passing the regulatory
limit. If the platform indicates in the BIOS that it indeed has lower
gain, and the geographic location allows it, higher TX power can be
used. The driver reads the PPAG (Per-Platform Antenna Gain) data from
BIOS (if it exists), validates it and sends the appropriate command to
the FW. This flow happens once at FW init, in case of suspend/resume
there is no need to read again from BIOS as we save those values during
init, so just send the PPAG command again to FW.

Any firmware that supports the new channel switch flow is
able to close / re-open the queues when needed. It takes
into account the channel switch mode etc...
Don't open / close the queues or enable / disable beacon

firmware is able to do this by itself.

Use a linked list to maintain the debug TLVs instead of a single buffer.
This way, the driver does not need to iterate over the binary file twice
and allocates smaller chunks of memory. Also, in case one allocation
fails the driver will work with the partial configuration instead of
aborting the entire debug configuration.

As a result, "write" queue pointer will be incremented by FW.
Upon resume from D3, driver should adjust its shadows of "write" and "read"
