475ce5dcf2 net: dsa: ar9331: register the mdiobus under devres
[ Upstream commit 50facd86e9fbc4b93fe02e5fe05776047f45dbfb ]

As explained in commits:
74b6d7d13307 ("net: dsa: realtek: register the MDIO bus under devres")
5135e96a3dd2 ("net: dsa: don't allocate the slave_mii_bus using devres")

mdiobus_free() will panic when called from devm_mdiobus_free() <-
devres_release_all() <- __device_release_driver(), and that mdiobus was
not previously unregistered.

The ar9331 is an MDIO device, so the initial set of constraints that I
thought would cause this (I2C or SPI buses which call ->remove on
->shutdown) do not apply. But there is one more which applies here.

If the DSA master itself is on a bus that calls ->remove from ->shutdown
(like dpaa2-eth, which is on the fsl-mc bus), there is a device link
between the switch and the DSA master, and device_links_unbind_consumers()
will unbind the ar9331 switch driver on shutdown.

So the same treatment must be applied to all DSA switch drivers, which
is: either use devres for both the mdiobus allocation and registration,
or don't use devres at all.

The ar9331 driver doesn't have a complex code structure for mdiobus
removal, so just replace of_mdiobus_register with the devres variant in
order to be all-devres and ensure that we don't free a still-registered
bus.

d1f2abe57b net: dsa: qca: ar9331: reorder MDIO write sequence
[ Upstream commit d1a58c013a5837451e3213e7a426d350fa524ead ]

In case of this switch we work with 32bit registers on top of 16bit
bus. Some registers (for example access to forwarding database) have
trigger bit on the first 16bit half of request and the result +
configuration of request in the second half. Without this patch, we would
trigger database operation and overwrite result in one run.

To make it work properly, we should do the second part of transfer
before the first one is done.

So far, this rule seems to work for all registers on this switch.

 DSA: tree 0 setup

To fix it, it is better to move access to MDIO register to the .irq_bus_sync_unlock
call back.

a7f7f6248d treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'
Since commit 84af7a6194e4 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over
'---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually
decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances.

This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines,
I also fixed the indentation.

There are a variety of indentation styles found.

  a) 4 spaces + '---help---'
  b) 7 spaces + '---help---'
  c) 8 spaces + '---help---'
  d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---'
  e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation)
  f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---'
  g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---'

In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the
following commend:

  $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/'

4d776482ec net: dsa: Get information about stacked DSA protocol
It is possible to stack multiple DSA switches in a way that they are not
part of the tree (disjoint) but the DSA master of a switch is a DSA
slave of another. When that happens switch drivers may have to know this
is the case so as to determine whether their tagging protocol has a
remove chance of working.

This is useful for specific switch drivers such as b53 where devices
have been known to be stacked in the wild without the Broadcom tag
protocol supporting that feature. This allows b53 to continue supporting
those devices by forcing the disabling of Broadcom tags on the outermost
switches if necessary.

The get_tag_protocol() function is therefore updated to gain an
additional enum dsa_tag_protocol argument which denotes the current
tagging protocol used by the DSA master we are attached to, else
DSA_TAG_PROTO_NONE for the top of the dsa_switch_tree.
