fc27e04630 usb: typec: altmodes/displayport: Make dp_altmode_notify() more generic
Make dp_altmode_notify() handle the dp->data.conf == 0 case too,
rather then having separate code-paths for this in various places

72ad49682d drm/connector: Add support for out-of-band hotplug notification (v3)
Add a new drm_connector_oob_hotplug_event() function and
oob_hotplug_event drm_connector_funcs member.

On some hardware a hotplug event notification may come from outside the
display driver / device. An example of this is some USB Type-C setups
where the hardware muxes the DisplayPort data and aux-lines but does
not pass the altmode HPD status bit to the GPU's DP HPD pin.

In cases like this the new drm_connector_oob_hotplug_event() function can
be used to report these out-of-band events.

Changes in v2:
- Make drm_connector_oob_hotplug_event() take a fwnode as argument and
  have it call drm_connector_find_by_fwnode() internally. This allows
  making drm_connector_find_by_fwnode() a drm-internal function and
  avoids code outside the drm subsystem potentially holding on the
  a drm_connector reference for a longer period.

Changes in v3:
- Drop the data argument to the drm_connector_oob_hotplug_event
  function since it is not used atm. This can be re-added later when
  a use for it actually arises.

3d3f7c1e68 drm/connector: Add drm_connector_find_by_fwnode() function (v3)
Add a function to find a connector based on a fwnode.

This will be used by the new drm_connector_oob_hotplug_event()
function which is added by the next patch in this patch-set.

Changes in v2:
- Complete rewrite to use a global connector list in drm_connector.c
  rather then using a class-dev-iter in drm_sysfs.c

Changes in v3:
- Add forward declaration for struct fwnode_handle to drm_crtc_internal.h
  (fixes warning reported by kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com>)

48c429c6d1 drm/connector: Add a fwnode pointer to drm_connector and register with ACPI (v2)
Add a fwnode pointer to struct drm_connector and register an acpi_bus_type
for the connectors with the ACPI subsystem (when CONFIG_ACPI is enabled).

The adding of the fwnode pointer allows drivers to associate a fwnode
that represents a connector with that connector.

When the new fwnode pointer points to an ACPI-companion, then the new
acpi_bus_type will cause the ACPI subsys to bind the device instantiated
for the connector with the fwnode by calling acpi_bind_one(). This will
result in a firmware_node symlink under /sys/class/card#-<connecter-name>/
which helps to verify that the fwnode-s and connectors are properly
matched.

Changes in v2:
- Make drm_connector_cleanup() call fwnode_handle_put() on
  connector->fwnode and document this

55285e21f0 fbdev/efifb: Release PCI device's runtime PM ref during FB destroy
Atm the EFI FB platform driver gets a runtime PM reference for the
associated GFX PCI device during probing the EFI FB platform device and
releases it only when the platform device gets unbound.

When fbcon switches to the FB provided by the PCI device's driver (for
instance i915/drmfb), the EFI FB will get only unregistered without the
EFI FB platform device getting unbound, keeping the runtime PM reference
acquired during the platform device probing. This reference will prevent
the PCI driver from runtime suspending the device.

Fix this by releasing the RPM reference from the EFI FB's destroy hook,
called when the FB gets unregistered.

While at it assert that pm_runtime_get_sync() didn't fail.

v2:
- Move pm_runtime_get_sync() before register_framebuffer() to avoid its
  race wrt. efifb_destroy()->pm_runtime_put(). (Daniel)

8b46cc6577 drm/i915: Tweaked Wa_14010685332 for all PCHs
dispcnlunit1_cp_xosc_clkreq clock observed to be active on TGL-H platform
despite Wa_14010685332 original sequence,
thus blocks entry to deeper s0ix state.

The Tweaked Wa_14010685332 sequence fixes this issue, therefore use tweaked

b9770b0b6e udmabuf: fix general protection fault in udmabuf_create
Syzbot reported general protection fault in udmabuf_create. The problem
was in wrong error handling.

In commit 16c243e99d ("udmabuf: Add support for mapping hugepages (v4)")
shmem_read_mapping_page() call was replaced with find_get_page_flags(),
but find_get_page_flags() returns NULL on failure instead PTR_ERR().

Wrong error checking was causing GPF in get_page(), since passed page
was equal to NULL. Fix it by changing if (IS_ER(!hpage)) to if (!hpage)

UAPI Changes:

- Add I915_MMAP_OFFSET_FIXED

  On devices with local memory `I915_MMAP_OFFSET_FIXED` is the only valid
  type. On devices without local memory, this caching mode is invalid.

  As caching mode when specifying `I915_MMAP_OFFSET_FIXED`, WC or WB will
  be used, depending on the object placement on creation. WB will be used
  when the object can only exist in system memory, WC otherwise.

  Userspace: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/11888

- Reinstate the mmap ioctl for (already released) integrated Gen12 platforms

  Rationale: Otherwise media driver breaks eg. for ADL-P. Long term goal is
  still to sunset the IOCTL even for integrated and require using mmap_offset.

- Reject caching/set_domain IOCTLs on discrete

  Expected to become immutable property of the BO

- Disallow changing context parameters after first use on Gen12 and earlier
- Require setting context parameters at creation on platforms after Gen12

  Rationale (for both): Allow less dynamic changes to the context to simplify
  the implementation and avoid user shooting theirselves in the foot.

- Drop I915_CONTEXT_PARAM_RINGSIZE

  Userspace PR for compute-driver has not been merged

- Drop I915_CONTEXT_PARAM_NO_ZEROMAP

  Userspace PR for libdrm / Beignet was never landed

- Drop CONTEXT_CLONE API

  Userspace PR for Mesa was never landed

- Drop getparam support for I915_CONTEXT_PARAM_ENGINES

  Only existed for symmetry wrt. setparam, never used.

- Disallow bonding of virtual engines

  Drop the prep work, no hardware has been released needing it.

- (Implicit) Disable gpu relocations

  Media userspace was the last userspace to still use them. They
  have converted so performance can be regained with an update.

c5589bb5dc drm/i915: Only access SFC_DONE when media domain is not fused off
The SFC_DONE register lives within the corresponding VD0/VD2/VD4/VD6
forcewake domain and is not accessible if the vdbox in that domain is
fused off and the forcewake is not initialized.

This mistake went unnoticed because until recently we were using the
wrong register offset for the SFC_DONE register; once the register
offset was corrected, we started hitting errors like

  <4> [544.989065] i915 0000:cc:00.0: Uninitialized forcewake domain(s) 0x80 accessed at 0x1ce000

f026e431cf drm/msm: Convert to Linux IRQ interfaces
Drop the DRM IRQ midlayer in favor of Linux IRQ interfaces. DRM's
IRQ helpers are mostly useful for UMS drivers. Modern KMS drivers
don't benefit from using it.
