838f865802 arch/powerpc: Remove <linux/fb.h> from backlight code
Replace <linux/fb.h> with a forward declaration in <asm/backlight.h> to

b72c066ba8 powerpc/32: fix ADB_CUDA kconfig warning
Fix a (randconfig) kconfig warning by correcting the select
statement:

WARNING: unmet direct dependencies detected for ADB_CUDA
  Depends on [n]: MACINTOSH_DRIVERS [=n] && (ADB [=n] || PPC_PMAC [=y]) && !PPC_PMAC64 [=n]
  Selected by [y]:

The PPC32 isn't needed because ADB depends on (PPC_PMAC && PPC32).

8c328de8fd powerpc: Remove duplicate/unnecessary ifdefs
When an ifdef is used in the below manner, second one could be considered
as duplicate.

  ifdef DEFINE_A
  ...code block...
  ifdef DEFINE_A       <-- This is a duplicate.
  ...code block...
  endif
  else
  ifndef DEFINE_A <-- This is also duplicate.
  ...code block...
  endif
  endif

More details about the script and methods used to find these code
patterns are in cover letter of [1].

Few places in arch/powerpc where this pattern was seen:

  paca.h:
  Hunk1: Code is under check of CONFIG_PPC64 from line 13, hence the
  second CONFIG_PPC64 at line 166 is a duplicate.
  Hunk2: CONFIG_PPC_BOOK3S_64 was defined back to back. Merged the two
  ifdefs.

  asm-offsets.c:
  Code is under check of CONFIG_PPC64 from line 176 hence second
  CONFIG_PPC64 at line 249 is a duplicate.

  powermac/feature.c:
  #ifndef CONFIG_PPC64 is used at line 2066. And then in #else again
  #ifdef CONFIG_PPC64 is used. Which is a duplicate since in #else means
  CONFIG_PPC64 is defined.

  xmon.c:
  Code is under the check of CONFIG_SMP from line 521 hence the same
  check of CONFIG_SMP at line 646 is a duplicate.

No functional change is intended here. It only aims to improve code
readability.

2b4a6cc9a1 powerpc: Annotate endianness of various variables and functions
Sparse reports several endianness warnings on variables and functions

fruit up in one patch.

All changes are just type annotations; no endianness switching

It's only used inside the #ifndef CONFIG_PPC64 block, so move it in

decide whether it should be inlined or not.

86582e6189 powerpc/powermac: Use early_* IO variants in via_calibrate_decr()
On a powermac platform, via the call path:

  start_kernel()
    time_init()
      ppc_md.calibrate_decr() (pmac_calibrate_decr)
        via_calibrate_decr()

ioremap() and iounmap() are called. The unmap can enable interrupts
unexpectedly (cond_resched() in vunmap_pmd_range()), which causes a
warning later in the boot sequence in start_kernel().

Use the early_* variants of these IO functions to prevent this.

The issue is pre-existing, but is surfaced by commit 721255b9826b

81d7cac4d1 powerpc: Explicitly include correct DT includes
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

Merge tag 'powerpc-6.5-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/powerpc/linux

Pull powerpc updates from Michael Ellerman:

 - Extend KCSAN support to 32-bit and BookE. Add some KCSAN annotations

 - Make ELFv2 ABI the default for 64-bit big-endian kernel builds, and
   use the -mprofile-kernel option (kernel specific ftrace ABI) for big
   endian ELFv2 kernels

 - Add initial Dynamic Execution Control Register (DEXCR) support, and
   allow the ROP protection instructions to be used on Power 10

 - Various other small features and fixes

a2ece1f512 powerpc: use strscpy to replace strlcpy
The strlcpy should not be used because it doesn't limit the source
length. As linus says, it's a completely useless function if you
can't implicitly trust the source string - but that is almost always
why people think they should use it! All in all the BSD function
will lead some potential bugs.

But the strscpy doesn't require reading memory from the src string
beyond the specified "count" bytes, and since the return value is
easier to error-check than strlcpy()'s. In addition, the implementation
is robust to the string changing out from underneath it, unlike the
current strlcpy() implementation.

Thus, We prefer using strscpy instead of strlcpy.

value of _end.

This variable is never modified, so _end symbol can be used directly.
