c9dcb4c1b6 clk: imx: keep hsio bus clock always on
During Linux System suspend/resume stress test after System Sleep
enabled, system will stuck sometimes. It is because NICMIX is powered
down, which HSIOMIX(always on) is not powered down. When NICMIX
powering down, HSIOMIX will get a hardware handshake, without HSIO ROOT clk,
the handshake will lose. Then after NICMIX power on when system resume,
the access to HSIOMIX through NICMIX would be broken. So keep HSIO ROOT
always on.

ed1f4ccfe9 clk: imx: imx8mp: add shared clk gate for usb suspend clk
32K usb suspend clock gate is shared with usb_root_clk, this
shared clock gate was initially defined only for usb suspend
clock, usb suspend clk is kept on while system is active or
system sleep with usb wakeup enabled, so usb root clock is
fine with this situation; with the commit cf7f3f4fa9
("clk: imx8mp: fix usb_root_clk parent"), this clock gate is
changed to be for usb root clock, but usb root clock will
be off while usb is suspended, so usb suspend clock will be
gated too, this cause some usb functionalities will not work,
so define this clock to be a shared clock gate to conform with
the real HW status.

bdc753c7fc Here's the main clk pull request for this merge window. We have some
late breaking reports that a patch series to rework clk rate range
support broke boot on some devices, so I've left that branch out of this
PR. Hopefully we can get to that next week, or punt on it and let it
bake another cycle. That means we don't really have any changes to the
core framework this time around besides a few typo fixes. Instead this
is all clk driver updates and fixes.

The usual suspects are here (again), with Qualcomm dominating the
diffstat. We look to have gained support for quite a few new Qualcomm
SoCs and Dmitry worked on updating many of the existing Qualcomm drivers
to use clk_parent_data. After that we have MediaTek drivers getting some
much needed updates, in particular to support GPU DVFS. There are also
quite a few Samsung clk driver patches, but that's mostly because there
was a maintainer change and so last release we missed some of those
 patches.

Overall things look normal, but I'm slowly reviewing core framework code
nowadays and that shows given the rate range patches had to be yanked
last minute. Let's hope this situation changes soon.

0836c8604a clk: imx: add i.MX93 clk gate
i.MX93 LPCG is different from i.MX8M CCGR. Although imx_clk_hw_gate4_flags
is used here, it not strictly match i.MX93. i.MX93 has such design:
 - LPCG_DIRECT use BIT0 as on/off gate when LPCG_AUTHEN CPU_LPM is 0
 - LPCG_LPM_CUR use BIT[2:0] as on/off gate when LPCG_AUTHEN CPU_LPM is 1

The current implementation suppose CPU_LPM is 0, and use LPCG_DIRECT
BIT[1:0] as on/off gate. Although BIT1 is touched, actually BIT1 is
reserved.

And imx_clk_hw_gate4_flags use mask 0x3 to determine whether the clk
is enabled or not, but i.MX93 LPCG only use BIT0 to control when CPU_LPM
is 0. So clk disabled unused during kernel boot not able to gate off
the unused clocks.

To match i.MX93 LPCG, introduce imx93_clk_gate.

c68cd258a6 clk: imx8mp: tune the order of enet_qos_root_clk
The enet_qos_root_clk takes sim_enet_root_clk as parent. When
registering enet_qos_root_clk, it will be put into clk orphan list,
because sim_enet_root_clk is not ready.

When sim_enet_root_clk is ready, clk_core_reparent_orphans_nolock will
set enet_qos_root_clk parent to sim_enet_root_clk.

Because CLK_OPS_PARENT_ENABLE is set, sim_enet_root_clk will be
enabled and disabled during the enet_qos_root_clk reparent phase.

All the above are correct. But with M7 booted early and using
enet, M7 enet feature will be broken, because clk driver probe phase
disable the needed clks, in case M7 firmware not configure
sim_enet_root_clk.

And tune the order would also save cpu cycles.

500a434fc5 Driver core changes for 5.19-rc1
Here is the set of driver core changes for 5.19-rc1.

Note, I'm not really happy with this pull request as-is, see below for
details, but overall this is all good for everything but a small set of
systems, which we have a fix for already.

Lots of tiny driver core changes and cleanups happened this cycle,
but the two major things were:

 	- firmware_loader reorganization and additions including the
ability to have XZ compressed firmware images and the ability
for userspace to initiate the firmware load when it needs to,
instead of being always initiated by the kernel. FPGA devices
specifically want this ability to have their firmware changed
over the lifetime of the system boot, and this allows them to
work without having to come up with yet-another-custom-uapi
interface for loading firmware for them.
 	- physical location support added to sysfs so that devices that
know this information, can tell userspace where they are
located in a common way. Some ACPI devices already support
this today, and more bus types should support this in the
 	  future.

 Smaller changes included:
 	- driver_override api cleanups and fixes
 	- error path cleanups and fixes
 	- get_abi script fixes
 	- deferred probe timeout changes.

It's that last change that I'm the most worried about. It has been
reported to cause boot problems for a number of systems, and I have a
tested patch series that resolves this issue. But I didn't get it
merged into my tree before 5.18-final came out, so it has not gotten any
 linux-next testing.

I'll send the fixup patches (there are 2) as a follow-on series to this
pull request if you want to take them directly, _OR_ I can just revert
the probe timeout changes and they can wait for the next -rc1 merge
cycle. Given that the fixes are tested, and pretty simple, I'm leaning
toward that choice. Sorry this all came at the end of the merge window,
I should have resolved this all 2 weeks ago, that's my fault as it was
in the middle of some travel for me.

All have been tested in linux-next for weeks, with no reported issues
other than the above-mentioned boot time outs.

19565ea12d clk: imx: add mcore_booted module paratemter
Add mcore_booted boot parameter which could simplify AMP clock
management. To i.MX8M, there is CCM(clock control Module) to generate
clock root clock, anatop(analog PLL module) to generate PLL, and CCGR
(clock gating) to gate clocks to peripherals. As below:
  anatop->ccm->ccgr->peripheral

Linux handles the clock management and the auxiliary core is under
control of Linux. Although there is per hardware domain control for CCGR
and CCM, auxiliary core normally only use CCGR hardware domain control
to avoid linux gate off the clk to peripherals and leave CCM ana anatop
to Linux.

Per NXP hardware design, because CCGR already support gate to
peripherals, and clk root gate power leakage is negligible. So
when in AMP case, we could not register the clk root gate.

b09c68dc57 clk: imx: pll14xx: Support dynamic rates
The pll1443x PLL so far only supports rates from a rate table passed
during initialization. Calculating PLL settings dynamically helps audio
applications to get their desired rates, so support for this is added
in this patch.

The strategy to get to the PLL setting for a rate is:

- First try to only adjust kdiv which specifies the fractional part of the PLL.
This setting can be changed without glitches on the output and is therefore
  preferred
- When that isn't possible then the rate table is searched for suitable rates,
so for standard rates the same settings are used as without this patch
- As a last resort the best settings are calculated dynamically

The code in this patch is based on patches from Adrian Alonso <adrian.alonso@nxp.com>
and Mads Bligaard Nielsen <bli@bang-olufsen.dk>

0f6e3c15ec clk: imx: disable i.mx7ulp composite clock during initialization
i.MX7ULP peripheral clock ONLY allow parent/rate to be changed
with clock gated, however, during clock tree initialization, the
peripheral clock could be enabled by bootloader, but the prepare
count in clock tree is still zero, so clock core driver will allow
parent/rate changed even with CLK_SET_RATE_GATE/CLK_SET_PARENT_GATE
set, but the change will fail due to HW NOT allow parent/rate change
with clock enabled. It will cause clock HW status mismatch with
clock tree info and lead to function issue. Below is an example:

usdhc0's pcc clock value is 0xC5000000 during kernel boot up, it
means usdhc0 clock is enabled, its parent is APLL_PFD1. In DT file,
the usdhc0 clock settings are as below:

assigned-clocks = <&pcc2 IMX7ULP_CLK_USDHC0>;
assigned-clock-parents = <&scg1 IMX7ULP_CLK_NIC1_DIV>;

when kernel boot up, the clock tree info is as below, but the usdhc0
PCC register is still 0xC5000000, which means its parent is still
from APLL_PFD1, which is incorrect and cause usdhc0 NOT work.

nic1_clk 2 2 0 176000000 0 0 50000
    usdhc0 0 0 0 176000000 0 0 50000

After making sure the peripheral clock is disabled during clock tree
initialization, the usdhc0 is working, and this change is necessary
for all i.MX7ULP peripheral clocks.

Otherwise, this is a collection of clk driver updates. More than half

d36207b848 clk: imx8m: fix clock tree update of TF-A managed clocks
On the i.MX8M*, the TF-A exposes a SiP (Silicon Provider) service
for DDR frequency scaling. The imx8m-ddrc-devfreq driver calls the
SiP and then does clk_set_parent on the DDR muxes to synchronize
the clock tree.

Since 936c383673 ("clk: imx: fix composite peripheral flags"),
these TF-A managed muxes have SET_PARENT_GATE set, which results
in imx8m-ddrc-devfreq's clk_set_parent after SiP failing with -EBUSY:

	echo 25000000 > userspace/set_freq
	imx8m-ddrc-devfreq 3d400000.memory-controller: failed to set
		dram_apb parent: -16

Fix this by adding a new i.MX composite flag for firmware managed
clocks, which clears SET_PARENT_GATE.

This is safe to do, because updating the Linux clock tree to reflect
reality will always be glitch-free.

379c9a24cc clk: imx: Fix reparenting of UARTs not associated with stdout
Most if not all i.MX SoC's call a function which enables all UARTS.
This is a problem for users who need to re-parent the clock source,
because any attempt to change the parent results in an busy error
due to the fact that the clocks have been enabled already.

clk: failed to reparent uart1 to sys_pll1_80m: -16

Instead of pre-initializing all UARTS, scan the device tree to see
which UART clocks are associated to stdout, and only enable those
UART clocks if it's needed early. This will move initialization of
the remaining clocks until after the parenting of the clocks.

When the clocks are shutdown, this mechanism will also disable any
clocks that were pre-initialized.

the bootloader (or a previous kernel that did kexec) followed the
correct procedure for glitch-free reparenting.

As such systems are doing everything correctly, a warning is too
harsh. Demote to a notice, so users are still alerted, but without

e4c0ca7894 clk: imx: clk-imx8qxp: Register DC0 display clocks with imx_clk_scu2()
This patch corrects display clocks for i.MX8qxp DC0 subsystem by
calling imx_clk_scu2() to register them, instead of calling
imx_clk_scu(). The reason is that the clocks can source from
various parents. The clock source selection is controlled by
Distributed Slave System Controller(DSC). According to the DSC spec,
the below table describes the generic source selections for clocks
with the same type in various subsystems. And, the display controller
subsystem spec says the display clocks can source from PLL1, PLL2 or
bypass clock, thus we may specify the correct parents for imx_clk_scu2().

The bypass clock's parent is determined by the SCU firmware.
Currently, the parent is 'pixel_link_clk_in' from HW point of view.
To be more specific, the parent is dummy for i.MX8qxp DC0, while
HDMI TX PHY PLL for i.MX8qm DC0. In practice, the display clocks
source from the bypass clock only when driving i.MX8qm HDMI TX.
So, for the both display clocks, we simply specify 'dc0_bypass0_clk'
bypass clock as a valid parent.

8653b778e4 The core framework got some nice improvements this time around. We gained the
ability to get struct clk pointers from a struct clk_hw so that clk providers
can consume the clks they provide, if they need to do something like that. This
has been a long missing part of the clk provider API that will help us move
away from exposing a struct clk pointer in the struct clk_hw. Tracepoints are
added for the clk_set_rate() "range" functions, similar to the tracepoints we
already have for clk_set_rate() and we added a column to debugfs to help
developers understand the hardware enable state of clks in case firmware or
bootloader state is different than what is expected. Overall the core changes
are mostly improving the clk driver writing experience.

At the driver level, we have the usual collection of driver updates and new
drivers for new SoCs. This time around the Qualcomm folks introduced a good
handful of clk drivers for various parts of three or four SoCs. The SiFive
folks added a new clk driver for their FU740 SoCs, coming in second on the
diffstat and then Atmel AT91 and Amlogic SoCs had lots of work done after that
for various new features. One last thing to note in the driver area is that the
i.MX driver has gained a new binding to support SCU clks after being on the
list for many months. It uses a two cell binding which is sort of rare in clk
DT bindings. Beyond that we have the usual set of driver fixes and tweaks that
come from more testing and finding out that some configuration was wrong or
that a driver could support being built as a module.

 Core:
  - Add some trace points for clk_set_rate() "range" functions
  - Add hardware enable information to clk_summary debugfs
  - Replace clk-provider.h with of_clk.h when possible
  - Add devm variant of clk_notifier_register()
  - Add clk_hw_get_clk() to generate a struct clk from a struct clk_hw

 New Drivers:
  - Bindings for Canaan K210 SoC clks
  - Support for SiFive FU740 PRCI
  - Camera clks on Qualcomm SC7180 SoCs
  - GCC and RPMh clks on Qualcomm SDX55 SoCs
  - RPMh clks on Qualcomm SM8350 SoCs
  - LPASS clks on Qualcomm SM8250 SoCs

 Updates:
  - DVFS support for AT91 clk driver
  - Update git repo branch for Renesas clock drivers
  - Add camera (CSI) and video-in (VIN) clocks on Renesas R-Car V3U
  - Add RPC (QSPI/HyperFLASH) clocks on Renesas RZ/G2M, RZ/G2N, and RZ/G2E
  - Stop using __raw_*() I/O accessors in Renesas clk drivers
  - One more conversion of DT bindings to json-schema
  - Make i.MX clk-gate2 driver more flexible
  - New two cell binding for i.MX SCU clks
  - Drop of_match_ptr() in i.MX8 clk drivers
  - Add arch dependencies for Rockchip clk drivers
  - Fix i2s on Rockchip rk3066
  - Add MIPI DSI clks on Amlogic axg and g12 SoCs
  - Support modular builds of Amlogic clk drivers
  - Fix an Amlogic Video PLL clock dependency

Merge tag 'clk-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/clk/linux

Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd:
"The core framework got some nice improvements this time around. We
gained the ability to get struct clk pointers from a struct clk_hw so
that clk providers can consume the clks they provide, if they need to
do something like that. This has been a long missing part of the clk
provider API that will help us move away from exposing a struct clk
pointer in the struct clk_hw. Tracepoints are added for the
clk_set_rate() "range" functions, similar to the tracepoints we
already have for clk_set_rate() and we added a column to debugfs to
help developers understand the hardware enable state of clks in case
firmware or bootloader state is different than what is expected.
Overall the core changes are mostly improving the clk driver writing
  experience.

At the driver level, we have the usual collection of driver updates
and new drivers for new SoCs. This time around the Qualcomm folks
introduced a good handful of clk drivers for various parts of three or
four SoCs. The SiFive folks added a new clk driver for their FU740
SoCs, coming in second on the diffstat and then Atmel AT91 and Amlogic
SoCs had lots of work done after that for various new features. One
last thing to note in the driver area is that the i.MX driver has
gained a new binding to support SCU clks after being on the list for
many months. It uses a two cell binding which is sort of rare in clk
DT bindings. Beyond that we have the usual set of driver fixes and
tweaks that come from more testing and finding out that some
configuration was wrong or that a driver could support being built as
  a module.

  Summary:

  Core:
   - Add some trace points for clk_set_rate() "range" functions
   - Add hardware enable information to clk_summary debugfs
   - Replace clk-provider.h with of_clk.h when possible
   - Add devm variant of clk_notifier_register()
   - Add clk_hw_get_clk() to generate a struct clk from a struct clk_hw

  New Drivers:
   - Bindings for Canaan K210 SoC clks
   - Support for SiFive FU740 PRCI
   - Camera clks on Qualcomm SC7180 SoCs
   - GCC and RPMh clks on Qualcomm SDX55 SoCs
   - RPMh clks on Qualcomm SM8350 SoCs
   - LPASS clks on Qualcomm SM8250 SoCs

  Updates:
   - DVFS support for AT91 clk driver
   - Update git repo branch for Renesas clock drivers
   - Add camera (CSI) and video-in (VIN) clocks on Renesas R-Car V3U
   - Add RPC (QSPI/HyperFLASH) clocks on Renesas RZ/G2M, RZ/G2N, and RZ/G2E
   - Stop using __raw_*() I/O accessors in Renesas clk drivers
   - One more conversion of DT bindings to json-schema
   - Make i.MX clk-gate2 driver more flexible
   - New two cell binding for i.MX SCU clks
   - Drop of_match_ptr() in i.MX8 clk drivers

   - Add MIPI DSI clks on Amlogic axg and g12 SoCs
   - Support modular builds of Amlogic clk drivers
   - Fix an Amlogic Video PLL clock dependency
   - Samsung Kconfig dependencies updates for better compile test coverage
   - Refactoring of the Samsung PLL clocks driver
   - Small Tegra driver cleanups
   - Minor fixes to Ingenic and VC5 clk drivers

6247e31b75 clk: imx: scu: fix MXC_CLK_SCU module build break
This issue can be reproduced by having a kernel config with
CONFIG_IMX_MBOX=m and CONFIG_MXC_CLK_SCU=m. It's caused by the Makefile
wanting to build clk-scu.o and clk-imx8qxp.o as different targets but
that doesn't work (e.g. MXC_CLK_SCU = y while CLK_IMX8QXP = n)

"obj-$(CONFIG_MXC_CLK_SCU) += clk-imx-scu.o clk-imx-lpcg-scu.o
clk-imx-scu-$(CONFIG_CLK_IMX8QXP) += clk-scu.o clk-imx8qxp.o"

Having MXC_CLK_SCU=y/m while CLK_IMX8QXP=n will cause a linker problem
like below:

  LD [M] drivers/clk/imx/clk-imx-scu.o
  arm-poky-linux-gnueabi-ld: no input files

Make MXC_CLK_SCU be un-selectable by users so it can only be selected by
the CLK_IMX8QXP option, ensuring the two symbols are built together.
Drop COMPILE_TEST too because this option isn't selectable anymore. We
can remove it from MXC_CLK_SCU because CLK_IMX8QXP selects MXC_CLK_SCU
which already has COMPILE_TEST.

It's also not aimed to be used by drivers according to Greg K.H.
Let's remove it from clk-scu driver and find another way to do proper

c277ca155d clk: imx8m: fix bus critical clk registration
noc/axi/ahb are bus clk, not peripheral clk.
Since peripheral clk has a limitation that for peripheral clock slice,
IP clock slices must be stopped to change the clock source.

However if the bus clk is marked as critical clk peripheral, the
assigned clock parent operation will fail.

So we added CLK_SET_PARENT_GATE flag to avoid glitch.

And add imx8m_clk_hw_composite_bus_critical for bus critical clock usage

220175cd39 clk: imx: scu: fix build break when compiled as modules
After commit e0d0d4d86c ("clk: imx8qxp: Support building i.MX8QXP clock
driver as module"), clk-scu.c and clk-imx8qxp.c are complied in one module,
thus there can be only one module_init() in those two files.
Commit 77d8f3068c ("clk: imx: scu: add two cells binding support")
introduced another module_init() in clk_scu.c which caused the errors
below.

To fix the issue, we can remove the unnecessary builtin_platform_driver
from clk_scu.c and directly register the driver in imx_clk_scu_init().
