Hinawa [https://github.com/takaswie/libhinawa/] is a library for
access to IEEE 1394 devices. As a gobject introspection library, it
facilitates writing applications in high-level programming languages.
Besides generic I/O via /dev/fw* (firewire-cdev ABI), it also supports
control of IEEE 1394 audio hardware via ALSA hwdep ABIs which are
provided by sound/firewire drivers.

The Qualcomm Technologies HIDMA device has been designed to support
virtualization technology. The driver has been divided into two to follow
the hardware design.
1. HIDMA Management driver
2. HIDMA Channel driver
Each HIDMA HW consists of multiple channels. These channels share some set
of common parameters. These parameters are initialized by the management
driver during power up. Same management driver is used for monitoring the
execution of the channels. Management driver can change the performance
behavior dynamically such as bandwidth allocation and prioritization.
The management driver is executed in host context and is the main
management entity for all channels provided by the device.

Switch attribute wakeup_data from binary to a text attribute.
This makes it easier to handle in userspace and allows to
use the output of tools like mode2 almost as is to set a
wakeup sequence.
Changing to a text format and values in microseconds also
makes the userspace interface independent of the setting of
SAMPLE_PERIOD in the driver.
In addition document the new sysfs attribute in
Documentation/ABI/testing/sysfs-class-rc-nuvoton.

Staging movements
* hmc5843
- out of staging.
* periodic RTC trigger
- driver dropped. This is an ancient driver (brings back some memories ;)
that was always somewhat of a bodge. Originally there was a driver that
never went into mainline that supported large numbers of periodict timers
on the PXA270 via this route. Discussions to have a generic periodic
timer subsystem never went anywhere. At the time RTC periodic
interrupts were real - now they are emulated using high resolution
timers so with the HRT driver this has become pointless.
New device support
* mpu6050 driver
- Add support for the mpu6500.
* TI tpl0102 potentiometer
- new driver.
* Vybrid SoC DAC
- new driver. The ADC on this SoC has been supported for a while, this
adds a separate driver for the DAC.

This could be done before via a somewhat obscure custom interface.
This at least makes it easy to tell what is going on.

B.A.T.M.A.N. V. Its implementation started quite some years ago,
but due to the big changes being introduced it took a while to be
discussed, designed, worked, re-worked, tested and debugged (well,

basically been a team work involving all the core contributors
together with other people interested in the project.
The new protocol is divided into two main subcomponents, called
respectively ELP and OGMv2. The former is in charge of
dealing with the neighbour discovery and link quality estimation,
while the latter implements the algorithm that spreads the
metrics around the network and computes optimal paths.
The biggest change introduced with B.A.T.M.A.N. V is the new
metric: the protocol won't rely on packet loss anymore, but it
will use the estimated throughput extracted directly from the
wifi driver (when available) by querying cfg80211.
Batman-adv will also send some unicast probing packets when
an interface is not used for payload traffic to make sure that
such values are current.
The new protocol can be compiled-in or not like other
features we have and when selected will pull in CFG80211 as
dependency for the reason described above.
Thanks to the big work brought up in the past by Marek Lindner,
batman-adv can easily deal several protocol implementations,
therefore compiling in this new version does not exclude the
older.
This means that the user is offered the option to choose
the protocol when creating the mesh interface (default is the
old one to keep backward compatibility).
Along with the protocol there are some sysfs knobs that are
introduced to fine tune some of its behaviours, but users
are recommended to keep the default values unless they know
what they are doing.
The last patch is about advertising our own patchwork platform
(thanks to Sven Eckelmann for having set that up!) in the
MAINTAINERS file.

This attribute is exported to user space to disable the link
throughput auto-detection by setting a fixed value.
The throughput override value is used when batman-adv is
computing the link throughput towards a neighbour.
If the value is set to 0 then batman-adv will try to detect
the throughput by itself.

This parameter can be set individually on each interface and
allows the configuration of the elp interval for the link
quality measurements during runtime. Usually it is desirable
to set it to a higher (= slower) value on interfaces which
have a more static characteristic (e.g. wired interfaces)
or very dense neighbourhoods to reduce overhead.

just remove it. Hopefully it will be possible in the future, but since

This patch introduces lifetime IO write statistics exposed to the sysfs interface.
The write IO amount is obtained from block layer, accumulated in the file system and
stored in the hot node summary of checkpoint.

This patch exports a new sysfs entry 'dirty_nat_ratio' to control threshold
of dirty nat entries, if current ratio exceeds configured threshold,
checkpoint will be triggered in f2fs_balance_fs_bg for flushing dirty nats.

Add IMA policy support for measuring/appraising the kexec image and
initramfs. Two new IMA policy identifiers KEXEC_KERNEL_CHECK and
KEXEC_INITRAMFS_CHECK are defined.
Example policy rules:

Moving the enumeration to the vfs layer simplified the patches, allowing

This driver allows an I2C bus to switch between multiple masters. This
is not hot-switching because connected I2C slaves will be
re-instantiated. It is meant to select the best I2C core at runtime once
the task is known. Example: Prefer i2c-gpio over another I2C core
because of HW errata affecting your use case.

Each fw_cfg entry of type "file" has an associated 56-char,
nul-terminated ASCII string which represents its name. While
the fw_cfg device doesn't itself impose any specific naming
convention, QEMU developers have traditionally used path name
semantics (i.e. "etc/acpi/rsdp") to descriptively name the
various fw_cfg "blobs" passed into the guest.
This patch attempts, on a best effort basis, to create a
directory hierarchy representing the content of fw_cfg file
names, under /sys/firmware/qemu_fw_cfg/by_name.
Upon successful creation of all directories representing the
"dirname" portion of a fw_cfg file, a symlink will be created
to represent the "basename", pointing at the appropriate
/sys/firmware/qemu_fw_cfg/by_key entry. If a file name is not
suitable for this procedure (e.g., if its basename or dirname
components collide with an already existing dirname component
or basename, respectively) the corresponding fw_cfg blob is
skipped and will remain available in sysfs only by its selector
key value.

Make fw_cfg entries of type "file" available via sysfs. Entries
are listed under /sys/firmware/qemu_fw_cfg/by_key, in folders
named after each entry's selector key. Filename, selector value,
and size read-only attributes are included for each entry. Also,
a "raw" attribute allows retrieval of the full binary content of
each entry.
The fw_cfg device can be instantiated automatically from ACPI or
the Device Tree, or manually by using a kernel module (or command
line) parameter, with a syntax outlined in the documentation file.

MCP4726 is a single channel 12-bit DAC. We can support MCP4726 with
a little changes to mcp4725 driver. In power-down mode, they have
different selection of VOUT pull-down registers.
MCP4726 also has features:
- Output gain options: 1x, 2x
- Voltage reference selection: VDD, VREF (Unbuffered or Buffered)
But these are not supported in this change. (1x gain, VDD is selected)

This patch adds following attributes to watchdog device's sysfs interface
to read its different status.
* state - reads whether device is active or not
* identity - reads Watchdog device's identity string.
* timeout - reads current timeout.
* timeleft - reads timeleft before watchdog generates a reset
* bootstatus - reads status of the watchdog device at boot
* status - reads watchdog device's internal status bits
* nowayout - reads whether nowayout feature was set or not
Testing with iTCO_wdt:

driver should be a lot more stable on v4.5 then ever
before.
Our good old dwc3 got a few cleanups and misc fixes
and also added support to Xilinx's integration of
this IP.

Users would like to control the behaviour of rdma_cm.
For example, old applications which don't set the
required RoCE gid type could be executed on RoCE V2
network types. In order to support this configuration,
we implement a configfs for rdma_cm.
In order to use the configfs, one needs to mount it and
mkdir <IB device name> inside rdma_cm directory.
The patch adds support for a single configuration file,
default_roce_mode. The mode can either be "IB/RoCE v1" or
"RoCE v2".

This patch set adds attributes of net device and gid type to each GID
in the GID table. Users that use verbs directly need to specify
the GID index. Since the same GID could have different types or
associated net devices, users should have the ability to query the
associated GID attributes. Adding these attributes to sysfs.
