4d045b98fb USB: serial: ftdi_sio: clean up attribute handling
The driver exposes two attributes for all chip types but FT232A, which
doesn't have a configurable latency timer, and SIO, which (probably)
doesn't support the event-char mechanism either.

Explicitly test for the exceptions rather than list each and every
supported device type in the attribute helpers.

6fbd914257 USB: serial: ftdi_sio: clean up modem-status handling
All chip types but the original SIO (FT8U100AX) return a two-byte modem
status and there's no need to explicitly list every other type in the
handler.

f353c0d430 USB: serial: ftdi_sio: tighten device-type detection
Clean up and tighten the device-type detection, which is based on
bcdDevice.

Don't make assumptions about unknown (future) types (currently assumed
to be either FT2232C or FT-X depending on bNumInterfaces) and instead
log an error and refuse to bind so that we can add proper support when
needed.

Note that the bcdDevice values have been provided by FTDI.

027bf37dbe USB: serial: ftdi_sio: rename channel index
Multi-channel devices require a channel selector to be included in
control requests.

Replace "interface" with the less ambiguous "channel", which is the
terminology used for newer devices, in the corresponding defines and
variables.

41ca302a69 USB: serial: ch341: fix disabled rx timer on older devices
At least one older CH341 appears to have the RX timer enable bit
inverted so that setting it disables the RX timer and prevents the FIFO
from emptying until it is full.

Only set the RX timer enable bit for devices with version newer than
0x27 (even though this probably affects all pre-0x30 devices).

15b694e96c USB: serial: option: add Quectel RM500K module support
Add usb product id of the Quectel RM500K module.

RM500K provides 2 mandatory interfaces to Linux host after enumeration.
 - /dev/ttyUSB5: this is a serial interface for control path. User needs
to write AT commands to this device node to query status, set APN,
set PIN code, and enable/disable the data connection to 5G network.
 - ethX: this is the data path provided as a RNDIS devices. After the
data connection has been established, Linux host can access 5G data
   network via this interface.

"RNDIS": RNDIS + ADB + AT (/dev/ttyUSB5) + MODEM COMs

ae60aac59a USB: serial: pl2303: add support for more HXN (G) types
Add support for further HXN (G) type devices (GT variant, GL variant, GS
variant and GR) and document the bcdDevice mapping.

Note that the TA and TB types use the same bcdDevice as some GT and GE
variants, respectively, but that the HX status request can be used to
determine which is which.

Also note that we currently do not distinguish between the various HXN
(G) types in the driver but that this may change eventually (e.g. when
adding GPIO support).

54c2cc7919 USB / Thunderbolt changes for 5.19-rc1
Here is the "big" set of USB and Thunderbolt driver changes for
5.18-rc1. For the most part it's been a quiet development cycle for the
USB core, but there are the usual "hot spots" of development activity.

 Included in here are:
 	- Thunderbolt driver updates:
 		- fixes for devices without displayport adapters
 		- lane bonding support and improvements
 		- other minor changes based on device testing
 	- dwc3 gadget driver changes. It seems this driver will never
be finished given that the IP core is showing up in zillions
of new devices and each implementation decides to do something
 	  different with it...
 	- uvc gadget driver updates as more devices start to use and
rely on this hardware as well
 	- usb_maxpacket() api changes to remove an unneeded and unused
 	  parameter.
 	- usb-serial driver device id updates and small cleanups
 	- typec cleanups and fixes based on device testing
 	- device tree updates for usb properties
 	- lots of other small fixes and driver updates.

All of these have been in linux-next for weeks with no reported
 problems.

07989eb981 USB: serial: option: add Fibocom MA510 modem
The MA510 modem has 3 USB configurations that are configurable via the AT
command AT+GTUSBMODE={30,31,32} which make the modem enumerate with the
following interfaces, respectively:

30: Diag + QDSS + Modem + RMNET
31: Diag + Modem + AT + ECM
32: Modem + AT + ECM

The first configuration (30) reuses u-blox R410M's VID/PID with
identical interface configuration.

A detailed description of the USB configuration for each mode follows:

e23e50e7ac USB: serial: whiteheat: fix heap overflow in WHITEHEAT_GET_DTR_RTS
The sizeof(struct whitehat_dr_info) can be 4 bytes under CONFIG_AEABI=n
due to "-mabi=apcs-gnu", even though it has a single u8:

whiteheat_private {
        __u8 mcr; /* 0 1 */

        /* size: 4, cachelines: 1, members: 1 */
        /* padding: 3 */
        /* last cacheline: 4 bytes */
};

The result is technically harmless, as both the source and the
destinations are currently the same allocation size (4 bytes) and don't
use their padding, but if anything were to ever be added after the
"mcr" member in "struct whiteheat_private", it would be overwritten. The
structs both have a single u8 "mcr" member, but are 4 bytes in padded
size. The memcpy() destination was explicitly targeting the u8 member
(size 1) with the length of the whole structure (size 4), triggering
the memcpy buffer overflow warning:

7203062171 TTY/Serial driver changes for 5.18-rc1
Here are the big set of tty and serial driver changes for 5.18-rc1.

Nothing major, some more good cleanups from Jiri and 2 new serial
 drivers. Highlights include:
 	- termbits cleanups
 	- export symbol cleanups and other core cleanups from Jiri Slaby
 	- new sunplus and mvebu uart drivers (amazing that people are
 	  still creating new uarts...)
 	- samsung serial driver cleanups
 	- ldisc 29 is now "reserved" for experimental/development line
 	  disciplines
 	- lots of other tiny fixes and cleanups to serial drivers and
 	  bindings

All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.
