ASoC: codecs: msm8916-wcd-analog: Properly handle probe errors
The probe() function fails with an error for platform_get_irq_byname()
but only logs when devm_request_threaded_irq() fails. Make this
consistent and fail to probe in that case as well. In practice this
should never happen unless something is really wrong.

ASoC: codecs: msm8916-wcd-analog: Drop invalid mclk
The audio codec typically used for the MSM8916 SoC is split into two
parts: the digital codec is part of the SoC, while the analog codec is
part of the PM8916 PMIC.

The analog codec in the PMIC has no direct connection to the mclk of
the SoC (GCC_CODEC_DIGCODEC_CLK). As the name of the clock suggests
this is supplied to the digital part of the codec. During playback it
will use this clock to transmit the audio data via the "CDC PDM" pins
to the PMIC. In this case the analog codec indirectly receives the
clock signal through the digital codec.

GCC_CODEC_DIGCODEC_CLK is already managed by the driver of the digital
part of the codec in the SoC. Having this clock on the analog PMIC part
additionally is redundant and incorrect because the analog codec cannot
receive the clock signal without going through the digital codec.

ASoC: codecs: msm8916-wcd-analog: Convert to platform remove callback returning void
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.

Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

ASoC: msm8916-wcd-analog: Use separate outputs for HPH_L/HPH_R
The analog codec has separate output paths for the left headphone channel
(HPH_L) and the right headphone channel (HPH_R). While they are usually
used together for actual headphones output, some devices also have an
analog speaker amplifier connected to one of the headphone channels.

To allow modelling that properly (and to avoid powering on the unneeded
output path), HPH_L and HPH_R should be represented by separate outputs
rather than a shared HEADPHONE output that always activates both paths.

ASoC: msm8916-wcd-analog: Add MIC BIAS Internal3
PM8916 has three TX inputs that each have an (optional) internal
RBIAS resistor. MIC BIAS Internal1/2 (for TX1/2) are already supported.
TX3 does not have its own MIC BIAS supply, instead it is also supplied
from MIC_BIAS1.

Now that we have simplified the MIC BIAS Internal* implementation
we can easily add support for it:

Add a MIC BIAS Internal3 supply that enables the internal RBIAS
resistor on TX3, and make sure to also enable the MIC_BIAS1 supply.

ASoC: msm8916-wcd-analog: Simplify MIC BIAS Internal
At the moment, MIC BIAS Internal* and MIC BIAS External* both reference
the same register, and have a part of their initialization sequence
duplicated.

For example, the sequence for enabling MIC BIAS Internal1 is:
  I1. Enable MIC_BIAS1 supply (MICB_EN bit in CDC_A_MICB_1_EN)
I2. Enable internal RBIAS (TX1_INT_RBIAS_EN bit in CDC_A_MICB_1_INT_RBIAS)

The sequence for enabling MIC BIAS External1 is:
  E1. Enable MIC_BIAS1 supply (MICB_EN bit in CDC_A_MICB_1_EN)
(E2. Ideally, make sure internal RBIAS is disabled. However, this should
not happen in practice because DAPM will disable unused supplies...)

Right now we have:
  SND_SOC_DAPM_SUPPLY("MIC BIAS Internal1", CDC_A_MICB_1_EN, 7, 0, ...) // I1
  SND_SOC_DAPM_SUPPLY("MIC BIAS External1", CDC_A_MICB_1_EN, 7, 0, ...) // E1
and I2 is done in the PM event handler (pm8916_wcd_analog_enable_micbias_int1).

We can simplify this by defining a common DAPM supply for I1/E1 ("MIC_BIAS1"),
and one DAPM supply for I2 ("MIC BIAS Internal1"). Additional DAPM routes
ensure that we also enable the MIC_BIAS1 supply for the internal and external
pull up resistor.

Another advantage of this is that we now disable the internal RBIAS
when it is not needed. This makes it much easier to add support for
MIC BIAS Internal3 as a next step.

MIC BIAS External1 sets pm8916_wcd_analog_enable_micbias_ext1()

But pm8916_wcd_analog_enable_micbias_ext() only handles the POST_PMU

According to the PM8916 Hardware Register Description,
CDC_D_CDC_CONN_HPHR_DAC_CTL has only a single bit (RX_SEL)
to switch between RX1 (0) and RX2 (1). It is not possible to
disable it entirely to achieve the "ZERO" state.

However, at the moment the "RDAC2 MUX" mixer defines three possible
values ("ZERO", "RX2" and "RX1"). Setting the mixer to "ZERO"
actually configures it to RX1. Setting the mixer to "RX1" has
(seemingly) no effect.

msm8916-wcd-analog uses button0 to differentiate between headphone and
headset. Under some circumstances, button pressed and released
interrupts are not fired as the driver expects it.

For instance, with some connectors, there are spurious button-pressed
interrupts when unplugging a headphone, without the corresponding
button-released interrupt. But the codec always alternates between
button pressed and released interrupts, it cannot fire two interrupts of
the same kind in a row. That means that when the headphone is plugged
back, only a button-released interrupt will be fired instead of pressed
then released. This causes the driver to report headphone as headset.

By changing the logic and relying on button 0 release interrupt, the
driver could be made more robust for connectors that differ from the one
used on the Dragonboard's audio mezzanine.

e269998d58 ASoC: codecs: msm8916-wcd-analog: get micbias voltage from dt
This patch adds bindings in DT to provide required micbias voltage which
could be specific to board. With this new binding, now the mic bias
voltage is left at hardware default value if the device tree does not
specify any mic bias voltage value. Correct micbias value is required
for mbhc buttons to work.

eb59d73cb5 ASoC: codecs: constify snd_soc_dai_ops structures
snd_soc_dai_ops are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions
working with snd_soc_dai_ops provided by <sound/soc-dai.h> work with
const snd_soc_dai_ops. So mark the non-const structs as const.

52981e29ee ASoC: codecs: msm8916-wcd-analog: move codec reset to probe
This patch move the codec reset code from dai ops to codec probe, so
that the codec is not held in reset when headset detection block is
still active.

Without this patch the codec block will be in reset as long as its not
actively used, which means headset events will not be functional if the
codec dai is not actively used. Point to note is that the headset
detection blocks will work in low power when there is no active audio
usecase and switch to micbias source when audio usecase is active.

Existing dapms should put the codec in low power state anyway when there
is no audio usecase.

a180ba45b1 ASoC: codecs: add const to snd_soc_codec_driver structures
Declare snd_soc_codec_driver structures as const as they are only passed
as an argument to the function snd_soc_register_codec. This argument is
of type const, so declare the structures with this property as const.
In file codecs/sn95031.c, snd_soc_codec_driver structure is also used in
a copy operation along with getting passed to snd_soc_register_codec.
So, it can be made const too.

that have this property can be declared as const also.

9f3b777f1d ASoC: codecs: msm8916: fix invalid cast to bool type
A function snd_soc_update_bits() is an application of
regmap_update_bits_base(). This function takes some arguments for bitmask
and new value, thus the arguments should be a type which has width.
However bool is used to variable for the argument. This brings truncation
and results in invalid operation.

This commit fixes this bug by using unsigned int type, instead of bool.
This bug is detected by sparse:

585e881e5b ASoC: codecs: Add msm8916-wcd analog codec
msm8916-wcd codec is found in Qualcomm msm8916 and apq8016 processors.
This codec IP is split in to two parts (Digital & Analog).
Analog part is integrated in to PMIC PM8916 and the digital part is
integrated into Application processor. Data transfer between Analog and
Digital Die is done via a internal bus called PDM.

This patch adds support to Analog part of the Codec which is integrated
into PMIC PM8916.
