8546f11c42 ARM: ux500: do not directly dereference __iomem
commit 65b0e307a1 upstream.

Sparse reports that calling add_device_randomness() on `uid` is a
violation of address spaces. And indeed the next usage uses readl()
properly, but that was left out when passing it toadd_device_
randomness(). So instead copy the whole thing to the stack first.

780297af3c soc: qcom: Select REMAP_MMIO for LLCC driver
commit 5d2fe2d7b6 upstream.

LLCC driver uses REGMAP_MMIO for accessing the hardware registers. So
select the dependency in Kconfig. Without this, there will be errors
while building the driver with COMPILE_TEST only:

6213df4f5f soc: qcom: apr: make code more reuseable

APR and other packet routers like GPR are pretty much same and
interact with other drivers in similar way.

Ex: GPR ports can be considered as APR services, only difference
is they are allocated dynamically.

Other difference is packet layout, which should not matter
with the apis abstracted. Apart from this the rest of the
functionality is pretty much identical across APR and GPR.

Make the apr code more reusable by abstracting it service level,
rather than device level so that we do not need to write
new drivers for other new packet routers like GPR.

This patch is in preparation to add GPR support to this driver.

45d180a9f6 soc: qcom: llcc: make irq truly optional

The function platform_get_irq prints an error message into the kernel
log when the irq isn't found.

Since the interrupt is actually optional and not provided by some SoCs,
use platform_get_irq_optional which does not print an error message.

5bbd3dd7f9 soc/tegra: fuse: Drop Kconfig dependency on TEGRA20_APB_DMA

The DMA subsystem could be entirely disabled in Kconfig and then the
TEGRA20_APB_DMA option isn't available too. Hence kernel configuration
fails if DMADEVICES Kconfig option is disabled due to the unsatisfiable
dependency.

The FUSE driver isn't a critical driver and currently it only provides
NVMEM interface to userspace which isn't known to be widely used, and
thus, it's fine if FUSE driver fails to load.

Let's remove the erroneous Kconfig dependency and let the FUSE driver to
fail the probing if DMA is unavailable.

There are two refcount leak bugs in qcom_smsm_probe():

(1) The 'local_node' is escaped out from for_each_child_of_node() as
the break of iteration, we should call of_node_put() for it in error
path or when it is not used anymore.
(2) The 'node' is escaped out from for_each_available_child_of_node()
as the 'goto', we should call of_node_put() for it in goto target.

4e2ede7cb9 soc: sunxi: sram: Fix probe function ordering issues

Errors from debugfs are intended to be non-fatal, and should not prevent
the driver from probing.

Since debugfs file creation is treated as infallible, move it below the
parts of the probe function that can fail. This prevents an error
elsewhere in the probe function from causing the file to leak. Do the
same for the call to of_platform_populate().

Finally, checkpatch suggests an octal literal for the file permissions.

0fdc3ab9b4 soc: sunxi: sram: Prevent the driver from being unbound

This driver exports a regmap tied to the platform device (as opposed to
a syscon, which exports a regmap tied to the OF node). Because of this,
the driver can never be unbound, as that would destroy the regmap. Use
builtin_platform_driver_probe() to enforce this limitation.

c7f4c203d1 soc: fsl: select FSL_GUTS driver for DPIO
commit 9a472613f5 upstream.

The soc/fsl/dpio driver will perform a soc_device_match()
to determine the optimal cache settings for a given CPU core.

If FSL_GUTS is not enabled, this search will fail and
the driver will not configure cache stashing for the given
DPIO, and a string of "unknown SoC" messages will appear:

fsl_mc_dpio dpio.7: unknown SoC version
fsl_mc_dpio dpio.6: unknown SoC version
fsl_mc_dpio dpio.5: unknown SoC version

the reference count of the previous node.
When breaking early from a for_each_available_child_of_node() loop,

Fix it by dropping of_match_ptr() around the match.

incremented, we should use of_node_put() on it when not need anymore.
Add missing of_node_put() to avoid refcount leak.

In brcmstb_init_sram, it pass dn to of_address_to_resource(),
of_address_to_resource() will call of_find_device_by_node() to take
reference, so we should release the reference returned by
of_find_matching_node().

2042c6fbfb soc: qcom: aoss: remove spurious IRQF_ONESHOT flags

Quoting the header comments, IRQF_ONESHOT is "Used by threaded interrupts
which need to keep the irq line disabled until the threaded handler has
been run.". When applied to an interrupt that doesn't request a threaded
irq then IRQF_ONESHOT has a lesser known (undocumented?) side effect,
which it to disable the forced threading of the irq. For "normal" kernels
(without forced threading) then, if there is no thread_fn, then
IRQF_ONESHOT is a nop.

In this case disabling forced threading is not appropriate for this driver
because it calls wake_up_all() and this API cannot be called from
no-thread interrupt handlers on PREEMPT_RT systems (deadlock risk, triggers
sleeping-while-atomic warnings).

Fix this by removing IRQF_ONESHOT.

Because of the possible failure of the allocation, data->domains might
be NULL pointer and will cause the dereference of the NULL pointer
later.
Therefore, it might be better to check it and directly return -ENOMEM
without releasing data manually if fails, because the comment of the
devm_kmalloc() says "Memory allocated with this function is
automatically freed on driver detach.".

fbb810825a soc: fsl: qe: Check of ioremap return value

As the possible failure of the ioremap(), the par_io could be NULL.
Therefore it should be better to check it and return error in order to
guarantee the success of the initiation.
But, I also notice that all the caller like mpc85xx_qe_par_io_init() in
`arch/powerpc/platforms/85xx/common.c` don't check the return value of
the par_io_init().
Actually, par_io_init() needs to check to handle the potential error.
I will submit another patch to fix that.
Anyway, par_io_init() itsely should be fixed.

With this patch in the tree, Chromebooks running the affected hardware
no longer boot. Bisect points to this patch, and reverting it fixes
the problem.

An analysis of the code with this patch applied shows:

all clocks have to be present is wrong, and commit 9de2b9286a needs to be
reverted.

The motivation for the warning is that logical operations short circuit
while bitwise operations do not.

In this instance, tegra_fuse_read_spare() is not semantically returning
a boolean, it is returning a bit value. Use u32 for its return type so
that it can be used with either bitwise or boolean operators without any
warnings.

94a01e6fb2 soc: imx: Register SoC device only on i.MX boards

At the moment, using the ARM32 multi_v7_defconfig always results in two
SoCs being exposed in sysfs. This is wrong, as far as I'm aware the
Qualcomm DragonBoard 410c does not actually make use of a i.MX SoC. :)

This happens because imx_soc_device_init() registers the soc device
unconditionally, even when running on devices that do not make use of i.MX.
Arnd already reported this more than a year ago and even suggested a fix
similar to this commit, but for some reason it was never submitted.

Fix it by checking if the "__mxc_cpu_type" variable was actually
initialized by earlier platform code. On devices without i.MX it will
simply stay 0.
