9466df1a27 selftests: mptcp: join: colored results
Thanks to the parent commit, it is easy to change the output and add
some colours to help spotting issues.

The colours are not used if stdout is redirected or if NO_COLOR env var
is set to 1 as specified in https://no-color.org.

It is possible to force displaying the colours even if stdout is
redirected by setting this env var:

  SELFTESTS_MPTCP_LIB_COLOR_FORCE=1

03668c65d1 selftests: mptcp: join: rework detailed report
This patch modifies how the detailed results are printed, mainly to
improve what is displayed in case of issue:

- Now the test name (title) is printed earlier, when starting the test
  if it is not intentionally skipped: by doing that, errors linked to
  a test will be printed after having written the test name and then
  avoid confusions.

- Due to the previous item, it is required to add a new line after
  having printed the test name because in case of error with a command,
  it is better not to have the output in the middle of the screen.

- Each check is printed on a dedicated line with aligned status (ok,
  skip, fail): it is easier to spot which one has failed, simpler to
  manage in the code not having to deal with alignment case by case and
  helpers can be used to uniform what is done. These helpers can also be
  useful later to do more actions depending on the results or change in
  one place what is printed.

- Info messages have been reduced and aligned as well. And info messages
  about the creation of the default test files of 1 KB are no longer
  printed.

Example:

  001 no JOIN
        syn                                 [ ok ]
        synack                              [ ok ]
        ack                                 [ ok ]

Or with a skip and a failure:

  001 no JOIN
        syn                                 [ ok ]
        synack [fail] got 42 JOIN[s] synack expected 0
  Server ns stats
  (...)
  Client ns stats
  (...)
        ack                                 [skip]

Or with info:

  104 Infinite map
        Test file (size 128 KB) for client
        Test file (size 128 KB) for server
        file received by server has inverted byte at 169
        5 corrupted pkts
        syn                                 [ ok ]
        synack                              [ ok ]

While at it, verify_listener_events() now also print more info in case
of failure and in pm_nl_check_endpoint(), the test is marked as failed
instead of skipped if no ID has been given (internal selftest issue).

net/sched Bind logic fixes for cls_fw, cls_u32 and cls_route

Three classifiers (cls_fw, cls_u32 and cls_route) always copy
tcf_result struct into the new instance of the filter on update.

This causes a problem when updating a filter bound to a class,
as tcf_unbind_filter() is always called on the old instance in the
success path, decreasing filter_cnt of the still referenced class
and allowing it to be deleted, leading to a use-after-free.

This patch set fixes this issue in all affected classifiers by no longer
copying the tcf_result struct from the old filter.

e99688eba2 bpf: Fix an array-index-out-of-bounds issue in disasm.c
syzbot reported an array-index-out-of-bounds when printing out bpf
insns. Further investigation shows the insn is illegal but
is printed out due to log level 1 or 2 before actual insn verification
in do_check().

This particular illegal insn is a MOVSX insn with offset value 2.
The legal offset value for MOVSX should be 8, 16 and 32.
The disasm sign-extension-size array index is calculated as
 (insn->off / 8) - 1
and offset value 2 gives an out-of-bound index -1.

Tighten the checking for MOVSX insn in disasm.c to avoid
array-index-out-of-bounds issue.

The reason for the warning is twofold. One is due to the kthread
cpu_map_kthread_run() is stopped prematurely. Another one is
__cpu_map_ring_cleanup() doesn't handle skb mode and treats skbs in
ptr_ring as XDP frames.

Prematurely-stopped kthread will be fixed by the preceding patch and
ptr_ring will be empty when __cpu_map_ring_cleanup() is called. But
as the comments in __cpu_map_ring_cleanup() said, handling and freeing
skbs in ptr_ring as well to "catch any broken behaviour gracefully".

The root cause is the same as commit 436901649731 ("bpf: cpumap: Fix memory
leak in cpu_map_update_elem"). The kthread is stopped prematurely by
kthread_stop() in cpu_map_kthread_stop(), and kthread() doesn't call
cpu_map_kthread_run() at all but XDP program has already queued some
frames or skbs into ptr_ring. So when __cpu_map_ring_cleanup() checks
the ptr_ring, it will find it was not emptied and report a warning.

An alternative fix is to use __cpu_map_ring_cleanup() to drop these
pending frames or skbs when kthread_stop() returns -EINTR, but it may
confuse the user, because these frames or skbs have been handled
correctly by XDP program. So instead of dropping these frames or skbs,
just make sure the per-cpu kthread is running before
__cpu_map_entry_alloc() returns.

After apply the fix, the error handle for kthread_stop() will be
unnecessary because it will always return 0, so just remove it.

079082c60a tcx: Fix splat during dev unregister
During unregister_netdevice_many_notify(), the ordering of our concerned
function calls is like this:

  unregister_netdevice_many_notify
    dev_shutdown
	qdisc_put
            clsact_destroy
    tcx_uninstall

The syzbot reproducer triggered a case that the qdisc refcnt is not
zero during dev_shutdown().

tcx_uninstall() will then WARN_ON_ONCE(tcx_entry(entry)->miniq_active)
because the miniq is still active and the entry should not be freed.
The latter assumed that qdisc destruction happens before tcx teardown.

This fix is to avoid tcx_uninstall() doing tcx_entry_free() when the
miniq is still alive and let the clsact_destroy() do the free later, so
that we do not assume any specific ordering for either of them.

If still active, tcx_uninstall() does clear the entry when flushing out
the prog/link. clsact_destroy() will then notice the "!tcx_entry_is_active()"
and then does the tcx_entry_free() eventually.

37b61cda9c bnxt: don't handle XDP in netpoll
Similarly to other recently fixed drivers make sure we don't
try to access XDP or page pool APIs when NAPI budget is 0.
NAPI budget of 0 may mean that we are in netpoll.

This may result in running software IRQs in hard IRQ context,
leading to deadlocks or crashes.

To make sure bnapi->tx_pkts don't get wiped without handling
the events, move clearing the field into the handler itself.
Remember to clear tx_pkts after reset (bnxt_enable_napi())
as it's technically possible that netpoll will accumulate
some tx_pkts and then a reset will happen, leaving tx_pkts
out of sync with reality.

1e7417c188 net: usb: lan78xx: reorder cleanup operations to avoid UAF bugs
The timer dev->stat_monitor can schedule the delayed work dev->wq and
the delayed work dev->wq can also arm the dev->stat_monitor timer.

When the device is detaching, the net_device will be deallocated. but
the net_device private data could still be dereferenced in delayed work
or timer handler. As a result, the UAF bugs will happen.

One racy situation is shown below:

      (Thread 1)                 |      (Thread 2)
lan78xx_stat_monitor()           |
 ...                             |  lan78xx_disconnect()
 lan78xx_defer_kevent()          |    ...
  ...                            |    cancel_delayed_work_sync(&dev->wq);
  schedule_delayed_work()        |    ...
  (wait some time)               |    free_netdev(net); //free net_device
  lan78xx_delayedwork()          |
  //use net_device private data  |
  dev-> //use                    |

Although we use cancel_delayed_work_sync() to cancel the delayed work
in lan78xx_disconnect(), it could still be scheduled in timer handler
lan78xx_stat_monitor().

Another racy situation is shown below:

      (Thread 1)                |      (Thread 2)
lan78xx_delayedwork             |
 mod_timer()                    |  lan78xx_disconnect()
                                |   cancel_delayed_work_sync()
 (wait some time) | if (timer_pending(&dev->stat_monitor))
             	                |       del_timer_sync(&dev->stat_monitor);
 lan78xx_stat_monitor()         |   ...
  lan78xx_defer_kevent()        |   free_netdev(net); //free
   //use net_device private data|
   dev-> //use                  |

Although we use del_timer_sync() to delete the timer, the function
timer_pending() returns 0 when the timer is activated. As a result,
the del_timer_sync() will not be executed and the timer could be
re-armed.

In order to mitigate this bug, We use timer_shutdown_sync() to shutdown
the timer and then use cancel_delayed_work_sync() to cancel the delayed
work. As a result, the net_device could be deallocated safely.

What's more, the dev->flags is set to EVENT_DEV_DISCONNECT in
lan78xx_disconnect(). But it could still be set to EVENT_STAT_UPDATE
in lan78xx_stat_monitor(). So this patch put the set_bit() behind
timer_shutdown_sync().

7016198b44 Merge patch series "can: tcan4x5x: Introduce tcan4552/4553"
Markus Schneider-Pargmann <msp@baylibre.com> says:

This series introduces two new chips tcan-4552 and tcan-4553. The
generic driver works in general but needs a few small changes. These
are caused by the removal of wake and state pins.

Changes in v4:
- Use printk("... %pe\n", ERR_PTR(ret)) for new printks
- Link to v3: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20230721135009.1120562-1-msp@baylibre.com

Changes in v3:
- Rebased to v6.5-rc1
- Removed devicetree compatible check in tcan driver. The device version
  is now unconditionally detected using the ID2 register
- Link to v2: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20230621093103.3134655-1-msp@baylibre.com

Changes in v2:
- Update the binding documentation to specify tcan4552 and tcan4553 with
  the tcan4x5x as fallback
- Update the driver to use auto detection as well. If compatible differs
  from the ID2 register, use the ID2 register and print a warning.
- Small style changes

142c6dc6d9 can: tcan4x5x: Add support for tcan4552/4553
tcan4552 and tcan4553 do not have wake or state pins, so they are
currently not compatible with the generic driver. The generic driver
uses tcan4x5x_disable_state() and tcan4x5x_disable_wake() if the gpios
are not defined. These functions use register bits that are not
available in tcan4552/4553.

This patch adds support by introducing version information to reflect if
the chip has wake and state pins. Also the version is now checked.

8936bf53a0 net: Use sockaddr_storage for getsockopt(SO_PEERNAME).
Commit df8fc4e934c1 ("kbuild: Enable -fstrict-flex-arrays=3") started
applying strict rules to standard string functions.

It does not work well with conventional socket code around each protocol-
specific sockaddr_XXX struct, which is cast from sockaddr_storage and has
a bigger size than fortified functions expect. See these commits:

 commit 06d4c8a80836 ("af_unix: Fix fortify_panic() in unix_bind_bsd().")
 commit ecb4534b6a1c ("af_unix: Terminate sun_path when bind()ing pathname socket.")
 commit a0ade8404c3b ("af_packet: Fix warning of fortified memcpy() in packet_getname().")

We must cast the protocol-specific address back to sockaddr_storage
to call such functions.

However, in the case of getsockaddr(SO_PEERNAME), the rationale is a bit
unclear as the buffer is defined by char[128] which is the same size as
sockaddr_storage.

Let's use sockaddr_storage explicitly.

e739718444 net/sched: taprio: Limit TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_SCHED_CYCLE_TIME to INT_MAX.
syzkaller found zero division error [0] in div_s64_rem() called from
get_cycle_time_elapsed(), where sched->cycle_time is the divisor.

We have tests in parse_taprio_schedule() so that cycle_time will never
be 0, and actually cycle_time is not 0 in get_cycle_time_elapsed().

The problem is that the types of divisor are different; cycle_time is
s64, but the argument of div_s64_rem() is s32.

syzkaller fed this input and 0x100000000 is cast to s32 to be 0.

  @TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_SCHED_CYCLE_TIME={0xc, 0x8, 0x100000000}

We use s64 for cycle_time to cast it to ktime_t, so let's keep it and
set max for cycle_time.

While at it, we prevent overflow in setup_txtime() and add another
test in parse_taprio_schedule() to check if cycle_time overflows.

Also, we add a new tdc test case for this issue.

101df45e7e nfsd: Fix reading via splice
nfsd_splice_actor() has a clause in its loop that chops up a compound page
into individual pages such that if the same page is seen twice in a row, it
is discarded the second time. This is a problem with the advent of
shmem_splice_read() as that inserts zero_pages into the pipe in lieu of
pages that aren't present in the pagecache.

Fix this by assuming that the last page is being extended only if the
currently stored length + starting offset is not currently on a page
boundary.

This can be tested by NFS-exporting a tmpfs filesystem on the test machine
and truncating it to more than a page in size (eg. truncate -s 8192) and
then reading it by NFS. The first page will be all zeros, but thereafter
garbage will be read.

Note: I wonder if we can ever get a situation now where we get a splice
that gives us contiguous parts of a page in separate actor calls. As NFSD
can only be splicing from a file (I think), there are only three sources of
the page: copy_splice_read(), shmem_splice_read() and file_splice_read().
The first allocates pages for the data it reads, so the problem cannot
occur; the second should never see a partial page; and the third waits for
each page to become available before we're allowed to read from it.
