f014854ecc ASoC: Intel: bytcr_rt5640: Move "Platform Clock" routes to the maps for the matching in-/output

Move the "Platform Clock" routes for the "Internal Mic" and "Speaker"
routes to the intmic_*_map[] / *_spk_map[] arrays.

This ensures that these "Platform Clock" routes do not get added when the
BYT_RT5640_NO_INTERNAL_MIC_MAP / BYT_RT5640_NO_SPEAKERS quirks are used.

158a1a8ce3 ASoC: intel: atom: Fix breakage for PCM buffer address setup

The commit 2e6b836312a4 ("ASoC: intel: atom: Fix reference to PCM
buffer address") changed the reference of PCM buffer address to
substream->runtime->dma_addr as the buffer address may change
dynamically.  However, I forgot that the dma_addr field is still not
set up for the CONTINUOUS buffer type (that this driver uses) yet in
5.14 and earlier kernels, and it resulted in garbage I/O.  The problem
will be fixed in 5.15, but we need to address it quickly for now.

The fix is to deduce the address again from the DMA pointer with
virt_to_phys(), but from the right one, substream->runtime->dma_area.

642b0c747a ASoC: intel: atom: Fix reference to PCM buffer address
commit 2e6b836312a477d647a7920b56810a5a25f6c856 upstream.

PCM buffers might be allocated dynamically when the buffer
preallocation failed or a larger buffer is requested, and it's not
guaranteed that substream->dma_buffer points to the actually used
buffer.  The address should be retrieved from runtime->dma_addr,
instead of substream->dma_buffer (and shouldn't use virt_to_phys).

Also, remove the line overriding runtime->dma_area superfluously,
which was already set up at the PCM buffer allocation.

7c441366dc ASoC: tegra: Set driver_name=tegra for all machine drivers
commit f6eb84fa596abf28959fc7e0b626f925eb1196c7 upstream.

The driver_name="tegra" is now required by the newer ALSA UCMs, otherwise
Tegra UCMs don't match by the path/name.

All Tegra machine drivers are specifying the card's name, but it has no
effect if model name is specified in the device-tree since it overrides
the card's name. We need to set the driver_name to "tegra" in order to
get a usable lookup path for the updated ALSA UCMs. The new UCM lookup
path has a form of driver_name/card_name.

The old lookup paths that are based on driver module name continue to
work as before. Note that UCM matching never worked for Tegra ASoC drivers
if they were compiled as built-in, this is fixed by supporting the new
naming scheme.

96ee5c0d82 ASoC: rt286: Generalize support for ALC3263 codec

The ALC3263 codec on the XPS 13 9343 is also found on the Latitude 13 7350
and Venue 11 Pro 7140. They require the same handling for the combo jack to
work with a headset: GPIO pin 6 must be set.

The HDA driver always sets this pin on the ALC3263, which it distinguishes
by the codec vendor/device ID 0x10ec0288 and PCI subsystem vendor ID 0x1028
(Dell). The ASoC driver does not use PCI, so adapt this check to use DMI to
determine if Dell is the system vendor.

79c35d1f36 ASoC: fsl_esai: Fix TDM slot setup for I2S mode

When using the driver in I2S TDM mode, the fsl_esai_startup()
function rewrites the number of slots previously set by the
fsl_esai_set_dai_tdm_slot() function to 2.
To fix this, let's use the saved slot count value or, if TDM
is not used and the number of slots is not set, the driver will use
the default value (2), which is set by fsl_esai_probe().

e4a69c0985 ASoC: intel: atom: Stop advertising non working S24LE support
commit aa65bacdb70e549a81de03ec72338e1047842883 upstream.

The SST firmware's media and deep-buffer inputs are hardcoded to
S16LE, the corresponding DAIs don't have a hw_params callback and
their prepare callback also does not take the format into account.

So far the advertising of non working S24LE support has not caused
issues because pulseaudio defaults to S16LE, but changing pulse-audio's
config to use S24LE will result in broken sound.

Pipewire is replacing pulse now and pipewire prefers S24LE over S16LE
when available, causing the problem of the broken S24LE support to
come to the surface now.

58f7023730 ASoC: sgtl5000: set DAP_AVC_CTRL register to correct default value on probe

According to the SGTL5000 datasheet [1], the DAP_AVC_CTRL register has
the following bit field definitions:

The original default value written to the DAP_AVC_CTRL register during
sgtl5000_i2c_probe() was 0x0510.  This would incorrectly write values to
bits 4 and 10, which are defined as RESERVED.  It would also not set
bits 12 and 14 to their correct RESET values of 0x1, and instead set
them to 0x0.  While the DAP_AVC module is effectively disabled because
the EN bit is 0, this default value is still writing invalid values to
registers that are marked as read-only and RESERVED as well as not
setting bits 12 and 14 to their correct default values as defined by the
datasheet.

The correct value that should be written to the DAP_AVC_CTRL register is
0x5100, which configures the register bits to the default values defined
by the datasheet, and prevents any writes to bits defined as
'read-only'.  Generally speaking, it is best practice to NOT attempt to
write values to registers/bits defined as RESERVED, as it generally
produces unwanted/undefined behavior, or errors.

The adc_vol_tlv volume-control has a range from -17.625 dB to +30 dB,
not -176.25 dB to + 300 dB. This wrong scale is esp. a problem in userspace
apps which translate the dB scale to a linear scale. With the logarithmic
dB scale being of by a factor of 10 we loose all precision in the lower
area of the range when apps translate things to a linear scale.

E.g. the 0 dB default, which corresponds with a value of 47 of the
0 - 127 range for the control, would be shown as 0/100 in alsa-mixer.

Since the centi-dB values used in the TLV struct cannot represent the
0.375 dB step size used by these controls, change the TLV definition
for them to specify a min and max value instead of min + stepsize.

Note this mirrors commit 3f31f7d9b540 ("ASoC: rt5670: Fix dac- and adc-
vol-tlv values being off by a factor of 10") which made the exact same
change to the rt5670 codec driver.

c7036ddd0e ASoC: dapm: remove widget from dirty list on free
commit 5c6679b5cb120f07652418524ab186ac47680b49 upstream.

A widget's "dirty" list_head, much like its "list" list_head, eventually
chains back to a list_head on the snd_soc_card itself. This means that
the list can stick around even after the widget (or all widgets) have
been freed. Currently, however, widgets that are in the dirty list when
freed remain there, corrupting the entire list and leading to memory
errors and undefined behavior when the list is next accessed or
modified.

I encountered this issue when a component failed to probe relatively
late in snd_soc_bind_card(), causing it to bail out and call
soc_cleanup_card_resources(), which eventually called
snd_soc_dapm_free() with widgets that were still dirty from when they'd
been added.

97249e6eeb ASoC: pcm: DRAIN support reactivation

soc-pcm's dpcm_fe_dai_do_trigger() supported DRAIN commnad up to kernel
v5.4 where explicit switch(cmd) has been introduced which takes into
account all SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_xxx but SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_DRAIN. Update
switch statement to reactive support for it.

As DRAIN is somewhat unique by lacking negative/stop counterpart, bring
behaviour of dpcm_fe_dai_do_trigger() for said command back to its
pre-v5.4 state by adding it to START/RESUME/PAUSE_RELEASE group.

Calling pm_runtime_get_sync increments the counter even in case of
failure, causing incorrect ref count if pm_runtime_put is not called in
error handling paths. Call pm_runtime_put if pm_runtime_get_sync fails.

f916205447 ASoC: rt5670: Correct RT5670_LDO_SEL_MASK

The RT5670_PWR_ANLG1 register has 3 bits to select the LDO voltage,
so the correct mask is 0x7 not 0x3.

Because of this wrong mask we were programming the ldo bits
to a setting of binary 001 (0x05 & 0x03) instead of binary 101
when moving to SND_SOC_BIAS_PREPARE.

According to the datasheet 001 is a reserved value, so no idea
what it did, since the driver was working fine before I guess we
got lucky and it does something which is ok.

aa332872c7 ASoC: fsl_asrc_dma: Fix dma_chan leak when config DMA channel failed

fsl_asrc_dma_hw_params() invokes dma_request_channel() or
fsl_asrc_get_dma_channel(), which returns a reference of the specified
dma_chan object to "pair->dma_chan[dir]" with increased refcnt.

The reference counting issue happens in one exception handling path of
fsl_asrc_dma_hw_params(). When config DMA channel failed for Back-End,
the function forgets to decrease the refcnt increased by
dma_request_channel() or fsl_asrc_get_dma_channel(), causing a refcnt
leak.

Fix this issue by calling dma_release_channel() when config DMA channel
failed.

de37cb96b7 ASoC: sgtl5000: Fix VAG power-on handling

As mentioned slightly out of patch context in the code, there
is no reset routine for the chip. On boards where the chip is
supplied by a fixed regulator, it might not even be resetted
during (e.g. watchdog) reboot and can be in any state.

If the device is probed with VAG enabled, the driver's probe
routine will generate a loud pop sound when ANA_POWER is
being programmed. Avoid this by properly disabling just the
VAG bit and waiting the required power down time.

snd_soc_dapm_kcontrol widget which is created by autodisable control
should contain correct on_val, mask and shift because it is set when the
widget is powered and changed value is applied on registers by following
code in dapm_seq_run_coalesced().

		if (w->power)
			value |= w->on_val << w->shift;
		else
			value |= w->off_val << w->shift;

Shift on the mask in dapm_kcontrol_data_alloc() is removed to prevent
double shift.
And, on_val in dapm_kcontrol_set_value() is modified to get correct
value in the dapm_seq_run_coalesced().

8bcead1f0d ASoC: dpcm: allow start or stop during pause for backend

soc_compr_trigger_fe() allows start or stop after pause_push.
In dpcm_be_dai_trigger(), however, only pause_release is allowed
command after pause_push.
So, start or stop after pause in compress offload is always
returned as error if the compress offload is used with dpcm.
To fix the problem, SND_SOC_DPCM_STATE_PAUSED should be allowed
for start or stop command.

Since a virtual mixer has no backing registers
to decide which path to connect,
it will try to match with initial state.
This is to ensure that the default mixer choice will be
correctly powered up during initialization.
Invert flag is used to select initial state of the virtual switch.
Since actual hardware can't be disconnected by virtual switch,
connected is better choice as initial state in many cases.

28881f90f5 ASoC: dapm: Correct DAPM handling of active widgets during shutdown
commit 9b3193089e77d3b59b045146ff1c770dd899acb1 upstream.

commit c2caa4da46a4 ("ASoC: Fix widget powerdown on shutdown") added a
set of the power state during snd_soc_dapm_shutdown to ensure the
widgets powered off. However, when commit 39eb5fd13dff
("ASoC: dapm: Delay w->power update until the changes are written")
added the new_power member of the widget structure, to differentiate
between the current power state and the target power state, it did not
update the shutdown to use the new_power member.

As new_power has not updated it will be left in the state set by the
last DAPM sequence, ie. 1 for active widgets. So as the DAPM sequence
for the shutdown proceeds it will turn the widgets on (despite them
already being on) rather than turning them off.

dpcm_show_state() invokes multiple snprintf() calls to concatenate
formatted strings on the fixed size buffer.  The usage of snprintf()
is supposed for avoiding the buffer overflow, but it doesn't work as
expected because snprintf() doesn't return the actual output size but
the size to be written.

Fix this bug by replacing all snprintf() calls with scnprintf()
calls.

221f141cfb ASoC: pcm: update FE/BE trigger order based on the command

Currently, the trigger orders SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_PRE/POST
determine the order in which FE DAI and BE DAI are triggered.
In the case of SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_PRE, the FE DAI is
triggered before the BE DAI and in the case of
SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_POST, the BE DAI is triggered before
the FE DAI. And this order remains the same irrespective of the
trigger command.

In the case of the SOF driver, during playback, the FW
expects the BE DAI to be triggered before the FE DAI during
the START trigger. The BE DAI trigger handles the starting of
Link DMA and so it must be started before the FE DAI is started
to prevent xruns during pause/release. This can be addressed
by setting the trigger order for the FE dai link to
SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_POST. But during the STOP trigger,
the FW expects the FE DAI to be triggered before the BE DAI.
Retaining the same order during the START and STOP commands,
results in FW error as the DAI component in the FW is still
active.

The issue can be fixed by mirroring the trigger order of
FE and BE DAI's during the START and STOP trigger. So, with the
trigger order set to SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_PRE, the FE DAI will be
trigger first during SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_START/STOP/RESUME
and the BE DAI will be triggered first during the
STOP/SUSPEND/PAUSE commands. Conversely, with the trigger order
set to SND_SOC_DPCM_TRIGGER_POST, the BE DAI will be triggered
first during the SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_START/STOP/RESUME commands
and the FE DAI will be triggered first during the
SNDRV_PCM_TRIGGER_STOP/SUSPEND/PAUSE commands.

A stream may specify a rate range using 'rate_min' and 'rate_max', so a
stream may be valid and not specify any rates. However, as stream cannot
be valid and not have any channel. Let's use this condition instead to
determine if a stream is valid or not.

b7ac39a1f6 ASoC: qcom: Fix of-node refcount unbalance in apq8016_sbc_parse_of()

The apq8016 driver leaves the of-node refcount at aborting from the
loop of for_each_child_of_node() in the error path.  Not only the
iterator node of for_each_child_of_node(), the children nodes referred
from it for codec and cpu have to be properly unreferenced.
