66a761e473 clk: at91: clk-main: update key before writing AT91_CKGR_MOR
[ Upstream commit 85d071e7f19a6a9abf30476b90b3819642568756 ]

SAMA5D2 datasheet specifies on chapter 33.22.8 (PMC Clock Generator
Main Oscillator Register) that writing any value other than
0x37 on KEY field aborts the write operation. Use the key when
selecting main clock parent.

29eb4e18eb clk: at91: usb: continue if clk_hw_round_rate() return zero
[ Upstream commit b0ecf1c6c6e82da4847900fad0272abfd014666d ]

clk_hw_round_rate() may call round rate function of its parents. In case
of SAM9X60 two of USB parrents are PLLA and UPLL. These clocks are
controlled by clk-sam9x60-pll.c driver. The round rate function for this
driver is sam9x60_pll_round_rate() which call in turn
sam9x60_pll_get_best_div_mul(). In case the requested rate is not in the
proper range (rate < characteristics->output[0].min &&
rate > characteristics->output[0].max) the sam9x60_pll_round_rate() will
return a negative number to its caller (called by
clk_core_round_rate_nolock()). clk_hw_round_rate() will return zero in
case a negative number is returned by clk_core_round_rate_nolock(). With
this, the USB clock will continue its rate computation even caller of
clk_hw_round_rate() returned an error. With this, the USB clock on SAM9X60
may not chose the best parent. I detected this after a suspend/resume
cycle on SAM9X60.

8a5745e7e4 clk: at91: avoid sleeping early

This results in the following error and dump stack on the AriettaG25:

9bf57138e5 clk: at91: select parent if main oscillator or bypass is enabled
[ Upstream commit 69a6bcde7fd3fe6f3268ce26f31d9d9378384c98 ]

Selecting the right parent for the main clock is done using only
main oscillator enabled bit.
In case we have this oscillator bypassed by an external signal (no driving
on the XOUT line), we still use external clock, but with BYPASS bit set.
So, in this case we must select the same parent as before.
Create a macro that will select the right parent considering both bits from
the MOR register.
Use this macro when looking for the right parent.

79a3e118b0 clk: at91: Fix division by zero in PLL recalc_rate()
commit 0f5cb0e6225cae2f029944cb8c74617aab6ddd49 upstream.

Commit a982e45dc150 ("clk: at91: PLL recalc_rate() now using cached MUL

now causes a stacktrace when booting the kernel on a at91 platform if
the PLL DIV register contains zero. This commit reintroduces this check.

c0eb205dfe clk: at91: PLL recalc_rate() now using cached MUL and DIV values
commit a982e45dc150da3a08907b6dd676b735391704b4 upstream.

When a USB device is connected to the USB host port on the SAM9N12 then
you get "-62" error which seems to indicate USB replies from the device
are timing out. Based on a logic sniffer, I saw the USB bus was running
at half speed.

The PLL code uses cached MUL and DIV values which get set in set_rate()
and applied in prepare(), but the recalc_rate() function instead
queries the hardware instead of using these cached values. Therefore,
if recalc_rate() is called between a set_rate() and prepare(), the
wrong frequency is calculated and later the USB clock divider for the
SAM9N12 SOC will be configured for an incorrect clock.

In my case, the PLL hardware was set to 96 Mhz before the OHCI
driver loads, and therefore the usb clock divider was being set
to /2 even though the OHCI driver set the PLL to 48 Mhz.

As an alternative explanation, I noticed this was fixed in the past by
87e2ed338f1b ("clk: at91: fix recalc_rate implementation of PLL
driver") but the bug was later re-introduced by 1bdf02326b71 ("clk:
at91: make use of syscon/regmap internally").

1bdf02326b clk: at91: make use of syscon/regmap internally
Use the regmap coming from syscon to access the registers instead of using
pmc_read/pmc_write. This allows to avoid passing the at91_pmc structure to
the child nodes of the PMC.

The final benefit is to have each clock register itself instead of having
to iterate over the children.

The PMC block is providing several functionnalities:

so that we can later share the regmap across several drivers without
exporting a new specific API or a global void __iomem * variable.

df70aeef60 clk: at91: add generated clock driver
Add a new type of clocks that can be provided to a peripheral.
In addition to the peripheral clock, this new clock that can use several
input clocks as parents can generate divided rates.
This would allow a peripheral to have finer grained clocks for generating
a baud rate, clocking an asynchronous part or having more
options in frequency.

00f3ec37d2 clk: kill off set_irq_flags usage
set_irq_flags is ARM specific with custom flags which have genirq
equivalents. Convert drivers to use the genirq interfaces directly, so we
can kill off set_irq_flags. The translation of flags is as follows:

IRQF_VALID -> !IRQ_NOREQUEST
IRQF_PROBE -> !IRQ_NOPROBE
IRQF_NOAUTOEN -> IRQ_NOAUTOEN

For IRQs managed by an irqdomain, the irqdomain core code handles clearing
and setting IRQ_NOREQUEST already, so there is no need to do this in
.map() functions and we can simply remove the set_irq_flags calls. Some
users also modify IRQ_NOPROBE and this has been maintained although it
is not clear that is really needed. There appears to be a great deal of
blind copy and paste of this code.

0817b62cc0 clk: change clk_ops' ->determine_rate() prototype
Clock rates are stored in an unsigned long field, but ->determine_rate()
(which returns a rounded rate from a requested one) returns a long
value (errors are reported using negative error codes), which can lead
to long overflow if the clock rate exceed 2Ghz.

Change ->determine_rate() prototype to return 0 or an error code, and pass
a pointer to a clk_rate_request structure containing the expected target
rate and the rate constraints imposed by clk users.

The clk_rate_request structure might be extended in the future to contain
other kind of constraints like the rounding policy, the maximum clock
inaccuracy or other things that are not yet supported by the CCF
(power consumption constraints ?).
