mem_init() currently relies on knowing the boundaries of the crashkernel
reservation to map such region with page granularity for later
unmapping via set_memory_valid(..., 0). If the crashkernel reservation
is deferred, such boundaries are not known when the linear mapping is
created. Simply parse the command line for "crashkernel" and, if found,
create the linear map with NO_BLOCK_MAPPINGS.

Currently, the kernel assumes that if RAM starts above 32-bit (or
zone_bits), there is still a ZONE_DMA/DMA32 at the bottom of the RAM and
such constrained devices have a hardwired DMA offset. In practice, we
haven't noticed any such hardware so let's assume that we can expand
ZONE_DMA32 to the available memory if no RAM below 4GB. Similarly,
ZONE_DMA is expanded to the 4GB limit if no RAM addressable by
zone_bits.

Commit 03fdfb2690099 ("KVM: arm64: Don't write junk to sysregs on
reset") flipped the register number to 0 for all the debug registers
in the sysreg table, hereby indicating that these registers live
in a separate shadow structure.
However, the author of this patch failed to realise that all the
accessors are using that particular index instead of the register
encoding, resulting in all the registers hitting index 0. Not quite
a valid implementation of the architecture...
Address the issue by fixing all the accessors to use the CRm field
of the encoding, which contains the debug register index.

During hardware validation it was noticed that the clock isn't
continuously enabled when there is no link. This is because the 125MHz
clock is derived from the internal PLL which seems to go into some kind
of power-down mode every once in a while. The LS1028A expects a contiuous
clock. Thus enable the PLL all the time.
Also, the RGMII pad voltage is wrong. It was configured to 2.5V (that is
the VDDH regulator). The correct voltage is 1.8V, i.e. the VDDIO
regulator.
This fix is for the freescale/fsl-ls1028a-kontron-sl28-var4.dts.

While enabling EDAC support for the LS1028A it was discovered that the
memory node has a wrong endianness setting as well as a wrong interrupt
assignment. Fix both.
This was tested on a sl28 board. To force ECC errors, you can use the
error injection supported by the controller in hardware (with
CONFIG_EDAC_DEBUG enabled):

$ echo 0x100 > /sys/devices/system/edac/mc/mc0/inject_ctrl
# flip lowest bit of the data

forever. However, that was never the intention, and we'd rather
not have to support that pointless complexity.

To ensure that instructions are observable in a new mapping, the arm64
set_pte_at() implementation cleans the D-cache and invalidates the
I-cache to the PoU. As an optimisation, this is only done on executable
mappings and the PG_dcache_clean page flag is set to avoid future cache
maintenance on the same page.
When two different processes map the same page (e.g. private executable
file or shared mapping) there's a potential race on checking and setting
PG_dcache_clean via set_pte_at() -> __sync_icache_dcache(). While on the
fault paths the page is locked (PG_locked), mprotect() does not take the
page lock. The result is that one process may see the PG_dcache_clean
flag set but the I/D cache maintenance not yet performed.
Avoid test_and_set_bit(PG_dcache_clean) in favour of separate test_bit()
and set_bit(). In the rare event of a race, the cache maintenance is
done twice.

A valid implementation choice for the ChooseRandomNonExcludedTag()
pseudocode function used by IRG is to behave in the same way as with
GCR_EL1.RRND=0. This would mean that RGSR_EL1.SEED is used as an LFSR
which must have a non-zero value in order for IRG to properly produce
pseudorandom numbers. However, RGSR_EL1 is reset to an UNKNOWN value
on soft reset and thus may reset to 0. Therefore we must initialize
RGSR_EL1.SEED to a non-zero value in order to ensure that IRG behaves
as expected.

Zenghui reports that booting a kernel with "irqchip.gicv3_pseudo_nmi=1"
on the command line hits a warning during kernel entry, due to the way
we manipulate the PMR.
Early in the entry sequence, we call lockdep_hardirqs_off() to inform
lockdep that interrupts have been masked (as the HW sets DAIF wqhen
entering an exception). Architecturally PMR_EL1 is not affected by
exception entry, and we don't set GIC_PRIO_PSR_I_SET in the PMR early in
the exception entry sequence, so early in exception entry the PMR can
indicate that interrupts are unmasked even though they are masked by
DAIF.
If DEBUG_LOCKDEP is selected, lockdep_hardirqs_off() will check that
interrupts are masked, before we set GIC_PRIO_PSR_I_SET in any of the
exception entry paths, and hence lockdep_hardirqs_off() will WARN() that
something is amiss.
We can avoid this by consistently setting GIC_PRIO_PSR_I_SET during
exception entry so that kernel code sees a consistent environment. We
must also update local_daif_inherit() to undo this, as currently only
touches DAIF. For other paths, local_daif_restore() will update both
DAIF and the PMR. With this done, we can remove the existing special
cases which set this later in the entry code.
We always use (GIC_PRIO_IRQON | GIC_PRIO_PSR_I_SET) for consistency with
local_daif_save(), as this will warn if it ever encounters
(GIC_PRIO_IRQOFF | GIC_PRIO_PSR_I_SET), and never sets this itself. This
matches the gic_prio_kentry_setup that we have to retain for
ret_to_user.

In subsequent patches we'll allow an FIQ handler to be registered, and
FIQ exceptions will need to be triaged very similarly to IRQ exceptions.
So that we can reuse the existing logic, this patch factors the IRQ
triage logic out into macros that can be reused for FIQ.
The macros are named to follow the elX_foo_handler scheme used by the C
exception handlers. For consistency with other top-level exception
handlers, the kernel_entry/kernel_exit logic is not moved into the
macros. As FIQ will use a different C handler, this handler name is
provided as an argument to the macros.
There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

With the introduction of a dynamic ZONE_DMA range based on DT or IORT
information, there's no need for CMA allocations from the wider
ZONE_DMA32 since on most platforms ZONE_DMA will cover the 32-bit
addressable range. Remove the arm64_dma32_phys_limit and set
arm64_dma_phys_limit to cover the smallest DMA range required on the
platform. CMA allocation and crashkernel reservation now go in the
dynamically sized ZONE_DMA, allowing correct functionality on RPi4.

UniPhier LD20 and PXs3 boards have RTL8211E ethernet phy, and the phy have
the RX/TX delays of RGMII interface using pull-ups on the RXDLY and TXDLY
pins.
After the commit bbc4d71d6354 ("net: phy: realtek: fix rtl8211e rx/tx
delay config"), the delays are working correctly, however, "rgmii" means
no delay and the phy doesn't work. So need to set the phy-mode to
"rgmii-id" to show that RX/TX delays are enabled.

When a VCPU is created, the kvm_vcpu struct is initialized to zero in
kvm_vm_ioctl_create_vcpu(). On VHE systems, the first time
vcpu.arch.mdcr_el2 is loaded on hardware is in vcpu_load(), before it is
set to a sensible value in kvm_arm_setup_debug() later in the run loop. The
result is that KVM executes for a short time with MDCR_EL2 set to zero.
This has several unintended consequences:
* Setting MDCR_EL2.HPMN to 0 is constrained unpredictable according to ARM
DDI 0487G.a, page D13-3820. The behavior specified by the architecture
in this case is for the PE to behave as if MDCR_EL2.HPMN is set to a
value less than or equal to PMCR_EL0.N, which means that an unknown
number of counters are now disabled by MDCR_EL2.HPME, which is zero.
* The host configuration for the other debug features controlled by
MDCR_EL2 is temporarily lost. This has been harmless so far, as Linux
doesn't use the other fields, but that might change in the future.
Let's avoid both issues by initializing the VCPU's mdcr_el2 field in
kvm_vcpu_vcpu_first_run_init(), thus making sure that the MDCR_EL2 register
has a consistent value after each vcpu_load().

WSA881x powerdown pin is connected to GPIO1 not gpio2, so correct this.
This was working so far due to a shift bug in gpio driver, however
once that is fixed this will stop working, so fix this!

The last cell of 'gpio-ranges' should be number of GPIO pins, and in
case of qcom platform it should match msm_pinctrl_soc_data.ngpio rather
than msm_pinctrl_soc_data.ngpio - 1.
This fixes the problem that when the last GPIO pin in the range is
configured with the following call sequence, it always fails with
-EPROBE_DEFER.

ARM architected timer interrupts DT property specifies EL2/HYP
physical interrupt and not EL2/HYP virtual interrupt for the 4th
interrupt property. As per interrupt documentation for SM8250 SoC,
the EL2/HYP physical timer interrupt is 10 and EL2/HYP virtual timer
interrupt is 12, so fix the 4th timer interrupt to be EL2 physical
timer interrupt (10 in this case).

After the commit 7320915c8861 ("mmc: Set PROBE_PREFER_ASYNCHRONOUS
for drivers that existed in v4.14"), the order of /dev/mmcblkN
was not fixed in some SoCs which have multiple sdhi controllers.
So, we were hard to use an sdhi device as rootfs by using
the kernel parameter like "root=/dev/mmcblkNpM".
According to the discussion on a mainling list [1], we can add
mmc aliases to fix the issue. So, add such aliases into Renesas
arm64 board dts files. Notes that mmc0 is an eMMC channel if
available.

On vcpu reset, we expect all the registers to be brought back
to their initial state, which happens to be a bunch of zeroes.
However, some recent commit broke this, and is now leaving a bunch
of registers (such as the FP state) with whatever was left by the
guest. My bad.
Zero the reset of the state (32bit SPSRs and FPSIMD state).

When reading the base address of the a REDIST region
through KVM_VGIC_V3_ADDR_TYPE_REDIST we expect the
redistributor region list to be populated with a single
element.
However list_first_entry() expects the list to be non empty.
Instead we should use list_first_entry_or_null which effectively
returns NULL if the list is empty.

The arm64 assembler in binutils 2.32 and above generates a program
property note in a note section, .note.gnu.property, to encode used x86
ISAs and features. But the kernel linker script only contains a single
NOTE segment:

Commit 99e71c029213 ("arm64: dts: imx8mq-librem5: Don't mark buck3 as always on")
removed always-on marking from GPU regulator, which is great for power
saving - however it introduces additional i2c0 traffic which can be deadly
for devices from the Dogwood batch.
To workaround the i2c0 shutdown issue on Dogwood, this commit marks
buck3 as always-on again - but only for Dogwood (r3).

If instruction being single stepped caused a page fault, the kprobes
is cancelled to let the page fault handler continue as a normal page
fault. But the local irqflags are disabled so cpu will restore pstate
with DAIF masked. After pagefault is serviced, the kprobes is
triggerred again, we overwrite the saved_irqflag by calling
kprobes_save_local_irqflag(). NOTE, DAIF is masked in this new saved
irqflag. After kprobes is serviced, the cpu pstate is retored with
DAIF masked.
This patch is inspired by one patch for riscv from Liao Chang.

Commit 941432d00768 ("arm64: dts: allwinner: Drop non-removable from
SoPine/LTS SD card") enabled the card detect GPIO for the SOPine module,
along the way with the Pine64-LTS, which share the same base .dtsi.
This was based on the observation that the Pine64-LTS has as "push-push"
SD card socket, and that the schematic mentions the card detect GPIO.
After having received two reports about failing SD card access with that
patch, some more research and polls on that subject revealed that there
are at least two different versions of the Pine64-LTS out there:
- On some boards (including mine) the card detect pin is "stuck" at
high, regardless of an microSD card being inserted or not.
- On other boards the card-detect is working, but is active-high, by
virtue of an explicit inverter circuit, as shown in the schematic.
To cover all versions of the board out there, and don't take any chances,
let's revert the introduction of the active-low CD GPIO, but let's use
the broken-cd property for the Pine64-LTS this time. That should avoid
regressions and should work for everyone, even allowing SD card changes
now.
The SOPine card detect has proven to be working, so let's keep that
GPIO in place.

The entry from EL0 code checks the TFSRE0_EL1 register for any
asynchronous tag check faults in user space and sets the
TIF_MTE_ASYNC_FAULT flag. This is not done atomically, potentially
racing with another CPU calling set_tsk_thread_flag().
Replace the non-atomic ORR+STR with an STSET instruction. While STSET
requires ARMv8.1 and an assembler that understands LSE atomics, the MTE
feature is part of ARMv8.5 and already requires an updated assembler.

Although every Beelink GS1 seems to have external 32768 Hz oscillator,
it works only on one from four tested. There are more reports of RTC
issues elsewhere, like Armbian forum.
One Beelink GS1 owner read RTC osc status register on Android which
shipped with the box. Reported value indicated problems with external
oscillator.
In order to fix RTC and related issues (HDMI-CEC and suspend/resume with
Crust) on all boards, switch to internal oscillator.

Commit 941432d00768 ("arm64: dts: allwinner: Drop non-removable from
SoPine/LTS SD card") enabled the card detect GPIO for the SOPine module,
along the way with the Pine64-LTS, which share the same base .dtsi.
However while both boards indeed have a working CD GPIO on PF6, the
polarity is different: the SOPine modules uses a "push-pull" socket,
which has an active-high switch, while the Pine64-LTS use the more
traditional push-push socket and the common active-low switch.
Fix the polarity in the sopine.dtsi, and overwrite it in the LTS
board .dts, to make the SD card work again on systems using SOPine
modules.

set atomically"), LLVM's integrated assembler fails to build entry.S:

The root cause is LLVM's assembler has a one-pass design, meaning it
cannot figure out these instruction lengths when the .org directive is
outside of the subsection that they are in, which was changed by the
.arch_extension directive added in the above commit.
Apply the same fix from commit 966a0acce2fc ("arm64/alternatives: move
length validation inside the subsection") to the alternative_endif
macro, shuffling the .org directives so that the length validation
happen will always happen in the same subsections. alternative_insn has
not shown any issue yet but it appears that it could have the same issue
in the future so just preemptively change it.

Disable guest access to the Trace Filter control registers.
We do not advertise the Trace filter feature to the guest
(ID_AA64DFR0_EL1: TRACE_FILT is cleared) already, but the guest
can still access the TRFCR_EL1 unless we trap it.
This will also make sure that the guest cannot fiddle with
the filtering controls set by a nvhe host.

Currently we advertise the ID_AA6DFR0_EL1.TRACEVER for the guest,
when the trace register accesses are trapped (CPTR_EL2.TTA == 1).
So, the guest will get an undefined instruction, if trusts the
ID registers and access one of the trace registers.
Lets be nice to the guest and hide the feature to avoid
unexpected behavior.
Even though this can be done at KVM sysreg emulation layer,
we do this by removing the TRACEVER from the sanitised feature
register field. This is fine as long as the ETM drivers
can handle the individual trace units separately, even
when there are differences among the CPUs.

Memory hotplug may fail on systems with CONFIG_RANDOMIZE_BASE because the
linear map range is not checked correctly.
The start physical address that linear map covers can be actually at the
end of the range because of randomization. Check that and if so reduce it
to 0.
This can be verified on QEMU with setting kaslr-seed to ~0ul:

The ppos points to a position in the old kernel memory (and in case of
arm64 in the crash kernel since elfcorehdr is passed as a segment). The
function should update the ppos by the amount that was read. This bug is
not exposed by accident, but other platforms update this value properly.
So, fix it in ARM64 version of elfcorehdr_read() as well.

We recently converted arm64 to use arch_stack_walk() in commit:
5fc57df2f6fd ("arm64: stacktrace: Convert to ARCH_STACKWALK")
The core stacktrace code expects that (when tracing the current task)
arch_stack_walk() starts a trace at its caller, and does not include
itself in the trace. However, arm64's arch_stack_walk() includes itself,
and so traces include one more entry than callers expect. The core
stacktrace code which calls arch_stack_walk() tries to skip a number of
entries to prevent itself appearing in a trace, and the additional entry
prevents skipping one of the core stacktrace functions, leaving this in
the trace unexpectedly.
We can fix this by having arm64's arch_stack_walk() begin the trace with
its caller. The first value returned by the trace will be
__builtin_return_address(0), i.e. the caller of arch_stack_walk(). The
first frame record to be unwound will be __builtin_frame_address(1),
i.e. the caller's frame record. To prevent surprises, arch_stack_walk()
is also marked noinline.
While __builtin_frame_address(1) is not safe in portable code, local GCC
developers have confirmed that it is safe on arm64. To find the caller's
frame record, the builtin can safely dereference the current function's
frame record or (in theory) could stash the original FP into another GPR
at function entry time, neither of which are problematic.
Prior to this patch, the tracing code would unexpectedly show up in
traces of the current task, e.g.

Erring on the side of caution, I've given this a spin with a bunch of
toolchains, verifying the output of /proc/self/stack and checking that
the assembly looked sound. For GCC (where we require version 5.1.0 or
later) I tested with the kernel.org crosstool binares for versions
5.5.0, 6.4.0, 6.5.0, 7.3.0, 7.5.0, 8.1.0, 8.3.0, 8.4.0, 9.2.0, and
10.1.0. For clang (where we require version 10.0.1 or later) I tested
with the llvm.org binary releases of 11.0.0, and 11.0.1.

When panicking from the nVHE hyp and restoring the host context, x29 is
expected to hold a pointer to the host context. This wasn't being done
so fix it to make sure there's a valid pointer the host context being
used.
Rather than passing a boolean indicating whether or not the host context
should be restored, instead pass the pointer to the host context. NULL
is passed to indicate that no context should be restored.
