commit 272970be3d upstream.
The driver shutdown callback (which sends EDL_SOC_RESET to the device
over serdev) should not be invoked when HCI device is not open (e.g. if
hci_dev_open_sync() failed), because the serdev and its TTY are not open
either. Also skip this step if device is powered off
(qca_power_shutdown()).
The shutdown callback causes use-after-free during system reboot with

commit 955aebd445 upstream.
The rationale of showing this is that it's potentially critical
information to diagnose and find more CSR compatibility bugs in the
future and it will save a lot of headaches.
Given that clones come from a wide array of vendors (some are actually
Barrot, some are something else) and these numbers are what let us find
differences between actual and fake ones, it will be immensely helpful
to scour the Internet looking for this pattern and building an actual
database to find correlations and improve the checks.

While looking at a crash report on a timer list being corrupted, which
usually happens when a timer is freed while still active. This is
commonly triggered by code calling del_timer() instead of
del_timer_sync() just before freeing.
One possible culprit is the hci_qca driver, which does exactly that.
Eric mentioned that wake_retrans_timer could be rearmed via the work
queue, so also move the destruction of the work queue before
del_timer_sync().

[ 14.339168] kthread+0x148/0x3ac
[ 14.339176] ret_from_fork+0x10/0x30
That happened because hdev->power_on is already called before
sdio_set_drvdata which btmtksdio_interrupt handler relies on is not
properly set up.
The details are shown as the below: hci_register_dev would run
queue_work(hdev->req_workqueue, &hdev->power_on) as WQ_HIGHPRI
workqueue_struct to complete the power-on sequeunce and thus hci_power_on
may run before sdio_set_drvdata is done in btmtksdio_probe.
The hci_dev_do_open in hci_power_on would initialize the device and enable
the interrupt and thus it is possible that btmtksdio_interrupt is being
called right before sdio_set_drvdata is filled out.
When btmtksdio_interrupt is being called and sdio_set_drvdata is not filled
, the kernel oops is going to happen because btmtksdio_interrupt access an
uninitialized pointer.

The problem was in wrong place for percpu_init_rwsem() call.
hci_uart_proto::open() may register a timer whose callback may call

This patch fixes the broken LED quirk for Intel legacy ROM devices.
To fix the LED issue that doesn't turn off immediately, the host sends
the SW RFKILL command while shutting down the interface and it puts the

Once the device is in SW RFKILL state, it can only accept HCI_Reset to
exit from the SW RFKILL state. This patch checks the quirk for broken
LED and sends the HCI_Reset before sending the HCI_Intel_Read_Version
command.
