03170e657f irqchip/gic-v3-its: Prevent double free on error
commit c26591afd33adce296c022e3480dea4282b7ef91 upstream.

The error handling path in its_vpe_irq_domain_alloc() causes a double free
when its_vpe_init() fails after successfully allocating at least one
interrupt. This happens because its_vpe_irq_domain_free() frees the
interrupts along with the area bitmap and the vprop_page and
its_vpe_irq_domain_alloc() subsequently frees the area bitmap and the
vprop_page again.

Fix this by unconditionally invoking its_vpe_irq_domain_free() which
handles all cases correctly and by removing the bitmap/vprop_page freeing
from its_vpe_irq_domain_alloc().

455b94f95e irqchip/renesas-rzg2l: Prevent spurious interrupts when setting trigger type

RZ/G2L interrupt chips require that the interrupt is masked before changing
the NMI, IRQ, TINT interrupt settings. Aside of that, after setting an edge
trigger type it is required to clear the interrupt status register in order
to avoid spurious interrupts.

The current implementation fails to do either of that and therefore is
prone to generate spurious interrupts when setting the trigger type.

Address this by:

  - Ensuring that the interrupt is masked at the chip level across the
    update for the TINT chip

  - Clearing the interrupt status register after updating the trigger mode
    for edge type interrupts

Add a macro that retrieves the TITSR register offset based on it's
index. This macro is useful in when adding suspend/resume support so both

The irq_eoi() callback of the RZ/G2L interrupt chip clears the relevant
interrupt cause bit in the TSCR register by writing to it.

This write is not sufficient because the write is posted and therefore not
guaranteed to immediately clear the bit. Due to that delay the CPU can
raise the just handled interrupt again.

Prevent this by reading the register back which causes the posted write to
be flushed to the hardware before the read completes.

The RZ/G2L manual (chapter "IRQ Status Control Register (ISCR)") describes
the operation to clear interrupts through the ISCR register as follows:

[Write operation]

  When "Falling-edge detection", "Rising-edge detection" or
  "Falling/Rising-edge detection" is set in IITSR:

    - In case ISTAT is 1
	0: IRQn interrupt detection status is cleared.
	1: Invalid to write.
    - In case ISTAT is 0
	Invalid to write.

  When "Low-level detection" is set in IITSR.:
        Invalid to write.

Take the interrupt type into account when clearing interrupts through the
ISCR register to avoid writing the ISCR when the interrupt type is level.

fbe1049a4d irqchip/sifive-plic: Enable interrupt if needed before EOI
commit 9c92006b896c767218aabe8947b62026a571cfd0 upstream.

RISC-V PLIC cannot "end-of-interrupt" (EOI) disabled interrupts, as
explained in the description of Interrupt Completion in the PLIC spec:

"The PLIC signals it has completed executing an interrupt handler by
writing the interrupt ID it received from the claim to the claim/complete
register. The PLIC does not check whether the completion ID is the same
as the last claim ID for that target. If the completion ID does not match
an interrupt source that *is currently enabled* for the target, the
completion is silently ignored."

Commit 69ea463021be ("irqchip/sifive-plic: Fixup EOI failed when masked")
ensured that EOI is successful by enabling interrupt first, before EOI.

Commit a1706a1c5062 ("irqchip/sifive-plic: Separate the enable and mask
operations") removed the interrupt enabling code from the previous
commit, because it assumes that interrupt should already be enabled at the
point of EOI.

However, this is incorrect: there is a window after a hart claiming an
interrupt and before irq_desc->lock getting acquired, interrupt can be
disabled during this window. Thus, EOI can be invoked while the interrupt
is disabled, effectively nullify this EOI. This results in the interrupt
never gets asserted again, and the device who uses this interrupt appears
frozen.

Make sure that interrupt is really enabled before EOI.

4332f54153 irqchip/gic-v3-its: Do not assume vPE tables are preallocated
commit ec4308ecfc887128a468f03fb66b767559c57c23 upstream.

The GIC/ITS code is designed to ensure to pick up any preallocated LPI
tables on the redistributors, as enabling LPIs is a one-way switch. There
is no such restriction for vLPIs, and for GICv4.1 it is expected to
allocate a new vPE table at boot.

This works as intended when initializing an ITS, however when setting up a
redistributor in cpu_init_lpis() the early return for preallocated RD
tables skips straight past the GICv4 setup. This all comes to a head when
trying to kexec() into a new kernel, as the new kernel silently fails to
set up GICv4, leading to a complete loss of SGIs and LPIs for KVM VMs.

Slap a band-aid on the problem by ensuring its_cpu_init_lpis() always
initializes GICv4 on the way out, even if the other RD tables were
preallocated.

a9ab338683 irqchip/mbigen: Don't use bus_get_dev_root() to find the parent

bus_get_dev_root() returns sp->dev_root which is set in subsys_register(),
but subsys_register() is not called by platform_bus_init().

Therefor for the platform_bus_type, bus_get_dev_root() always returns NULL.
This makes mbigen_of_create_domain() always return -ENODEV.

Don't try to retrieve the parent via bus_get_dev_root() and
unconditionally hand a NULL pointer to of_platform_device_create() to
fix this.

65ac3a4fee irqchip/gic-v3-its: Fix GICv4.1 VPE affinity update

When updating the affinity of a VPE, the VMOVP command is currently skipped
if the two CPUs are part of the same VPE affinity.

But this is wrong, as the doorbell corresponding to this VPE is still
delivered on the 'old' CPU, which screws up the balancing.  Furthermore,
offlining that 'old' CPU results in doorbell interrupts generated for this
VPE being discarded.

The harsh reality is that VMOVP cannot be elided when a set_affinity()
request occurs. It needs to be obeyed, and if an optimisation is to be
made, it is at the point where the affinity change request is made (such as
in KVM).

Drop the VMOVP elision altogether, and only use the vpe_table_mask
to try and stay within the same ITS affinity group if at all possible.

91a80fff3e irqchip/gic-v3-its: Restore quirk probing for ACPI-based systems

While refactoring the way the ITSs are probed, the handling of quirks
applicable to ACPI-based platforms was lost. As a result, systems such as
HIP07 lose their GICv4 functionnality, and some other may even fail to
boot, unless they are configured to boot with DT.

Move the enabling of quirks into its_probe_one(), making it common to all
firmware implementations.

5fcc75e44d irqchip/irq-brcmstb-l2: Add write memory barrier before exit

It was observed on Broadcom devices that use GIC v3 architecture L1
interrupt controllers as the parent of brcmstb-l2 interrupt controllers
that the deactivation of the parent interrupt could happen before the
brcmstb-l2 deasserted its output. This would lead the GIC to reactivate the
interrupt only to find that no L2 interrupt was pending. The result was a
spurious interrupt invoking handle_bad_irq() with its associated
messaging. While this did not create a functional problem it is a waste of
cycles.

The hazard exists because the memory mapped bus writes to the brcmstb-l2
registers are buffered and the GIC v3 architecture uses a very efficient
system register write to deactivate the interrupt.

Add a write memory barrier prior to invoking chained_irq_exit() to
introduce a dsb(st) on those systems to ensure the system register write
cannot be executed until the memory mapped writes are visible to the
system.

f7e84c8e19 irqchip/gic-v3-its: Handle non-coherent GICv4 redistributors

Although the GICv3 code base has gained some handling of systems failing to
handle the shareability attributes, the GICv4 side of things has been
firmly ignored.

This is unfortunate, as the new recent addition of the "dma-noncoherent" is
supposed to apply to all of the GICR tables, and not just the ones that are
common to v3 and v4.

Add some checks to handle the VPROPBASE/VPENDBASE shareability and
cacheability attributes in the same way we deal with the other GICR_BASE
registers, wrapping the flag check in a helper for improved readability.

Note that this has been found by inspection only, as I don't have access to
HW that suffers from this particular issue.

fcb82e9739 irqchip/loongson-eiointc: Use correct struct type in eiointc_domain_alloc()

eiointc_domain_alloc() uses struct eiointc, which is not defined, for a
pointer. Older compilers treat that as a forward declaration and due to
assignment of a void pointer there is no warning emitted. As the variable
is then handed in as a void pointer argument to irq_domain_set_info() the
code is functional.

Use struct eiointc_priv instead.

In non-coherent GIC designs, the ITS tables must be flushed before writing
to the GITS_BASER<n> registers, otherwise the ITS could read dirty tables,
which results in unpredictable behavior.

967608cc4e irqchip/sifive-plic: Fix syscore registration for multi-socket systems

Multi-socket systems have a separate PLIC in each socket, so __plic_init()
is invoked for each PLIC. __plic_init() registers syscore operations, which
obviously fails on the second invocation.

state so it is only invoked once when the first PLIC is initialized.

f199bf5bf8 irqchip/gic-v3-its: Don't override quirk settings with default values
When splitting the allocation of the ITS node from its configuration,
some of the default settings were kept in the latter instead of
being moved to the former.

This has the side effect of negating some of the quirk detections that
have happened in between, amongst which the dreaded Synquacer hack
(that also affect Dominic's TI platform).

Move the initialisation of these fields early, so that they can again be
overriden by the Synquacer quirk.

The STM32F4/7 EXTI driver was missing the xlate callback, so IRQ trigger
flags specified in the device tree were being ignored. This was
preventing the RTC alarm interrupt from working, because it must be set
to trigger on the rising edge to function correctly.

e13cd66bd8 irqchip/riscv-intc: Mark all INTC nodes as initialized
The RISC-V INTC local interrupts are per-HART (or per-CPU) so we
create INTC IRQ domain only for the INTC node belonging to the boot
HART. This means only the boot HART INTC node will be marked as
initialized and other INTC nodes won't be marked which results
downstream interrupt controllers (such as PLIC, IMSIC and APLIC
direct-mode) not being probed due to missing device suppliers.

To address this issue, we mark all INTC node for which we don't
create IRQ domain as initialized.

3a0fff0fb6 irqchip/gic-v3: Enable non-coherent redistributors/ITSes DT probing
The GIC architecture specification defines a set of registers
for redistributors and ITSes that control the sharebility and
cacheability attributes of redistributors/ITSes initiator ports
on the interconnect (GICR_[V]PROPBASER, GICR_[V]PENDBASER,
GITS_BASER<n>).

Architecturally the GIC provides a means to drive shareability
and cacheability attributes signals and related IWB/OWB/ISH barriers
but it is not mandatory for designs to wire up the corresponding
interconnect signals that control the cacheability/shareability
of transactions.

Redistributors and ITSes interconnect ports can be connected to
non-coherent interconnects that are not able to manage the
shareability/cacheability attributes; this implicitly makes
the redistributors and ITSes non-coherent observers.

So far, the GIC driver on probe executes a write to "probe" for
the redistributors and ITSes registers shareability bitfields
by writing a value (ie InnerShareable - the shareability domain the
CPUs are in) and check it back to detect whether the value sticks or
not; this hinges on a GIC programming model behaviour that predates the
current specifications, that just define shareability bits as writeable
but do not guarantee that writing certain shareability values
enable the expected behaviour for the redistributors/ITSes
memory interconnect ports.

To enable non-coherent GIC designs, introduce the "dma-noncoherent"
device tree property to allow firmware to describe redistributors and
ITSes as non-coherent observers on the memory interconnect and use the
property to force the shareability attributes to be programmed into the
redistributors and ITSes registers through the GIC quirks mechanism.

In order to pave the way for more fancy quirk handling without making
more of a mess of this terrible driver, split the allocation of the
ITS descriptor (its_node) from the actual probing.

This will allow firmware-specific hooks to be added between these

9b8df572ba irqchip: renesas-rzg2l: Fix logic to clear TINT interrupt source
The logic to clear the TINT interrupt source in rzg2l_irqc_irq_disable()
is wrong as the mask is correct only for LSB on the TSSR register.
This issue is found when testing with two TINT interrupt sources. So fix
the logic for all TINTs by using the macro TSSEL_SHIFT() to multiply
tssr_offset with 8.

Starting from HW version 3.2 the IRQ_ENABLE bit has moved to the
IRQ_i_CFG register and requires a change of the driver to avoid
writing into an undefined register address.

Get the HW version from registers and set the IRQ_ENABLE bit to the
correct register depending on the HW version.

ee07675046 irqchip: Explicitly include correct DT includes
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

35e0cd774a irqchip/al-fic: make AL_FIC depend on HAS_IOMEM
On s390 systems (aka mainframes), it has classic channel devices for
networking and permanent storage that are currently even more common than
PCI devices.  Hence it could have a fully functional s390 kernel with
CONFIG_PCI=n, then the relevant iomem mapping functions [including
ioremap(), devm_ioremap(), etc.] are not available.

Here let AL_FIC depend on HAS_IOMEM so that it won't be built
to cause below compiling error if PCI is unset:

GIC700 erratum 2941627 may cause GIC-700 missing SPIs wake
requests when SPIs are deactivated while targeting a
sleeping CPU - ie a CPU for which the redistributor:

GICR_WAKER.ProcessorSleep == 1

This runtime situation can happen if an SPI that has been
activated on a core is retargeted to a different core, it
becomes pending and the target core subsequently enters a
power state quiescing the respective redistributor.

When this situation is hit, the de-activation carried out
on the core that activated the SPI (through either ICC_EOIR1_EL1
or ICC_DIR_EL1 register writes) does not trigger a wake
requests for the sleeping GIC redistributor even if the SPI
is pending.

Work around the erratum by de-activating the SPI using the
redistributor GICD_ICACTIVER register if the runtime
conditions require it (ie the IRQ was retargeted between
activation and de-activation).

Commit a8707f553884 ("irqchip/gic-v3: Add Rockchip 3588001 erratum
workaround") mentioned RK3588S (the slimmed down variant of RK3588)
being affected, but did not check for its compatible value. Thus the
quirk is not applied on RK3588S. Since the GIC ITS node got added to the
upstream DT, boards using RK3588S are no longer booting without this
quirk being applied.
