The autofs subsystem does not check that the "path" parameter is present for all cases where it is required when it is passed in via the "param" struct. In particular it isn't checked for the AUTOFS_DEV_IOCTL_OPENMOUNT_CMD ioctl command. To solve it, modify validate_dev_ioctl(function to check that a path has been provided for ioctl commands that require it. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
