The AB8500 code is using a special current and voltage setting when the battery is in "alert mode", i.e. when it is starting to go outside normal operating conditions so it is too cold or too hot. This makes sense as a way for the charging algorithm to deal with hostile environments. Add the needed members to the struct power_supply_battery_info, and switch the AB8500 charging code over to using this. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
