To support implementation of DRM connectors on top of DRM bridges instead of by bridges, the drm_bridge needs to expose new operations and data: - Output detection, hot-plug notification, mode retrieval and EDID retrieval operations - Bitmask of supported operations - Bridge output type - I2C adapter for DDC access Add and document these. Three new bridge helper functions are also added to handle hot plug notification in a way that is as transparent as possible for the bridges. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
