[ Upstream commit fb1e881273f432e593f8789f99e725b09304cc97 ] Commit 1fd4a5a36f9f ("drm/connector: Rename legacy TV property") failed to update all the users of the struct drm_tv_connector_state mode field, which resulted in a build failure in i915. However, a subsequent commit in the same series reintroduced a mode field in that structure, with a different semantic but the same type, with the assumption that all previous users were updated. Since that didn't happen, the i915 driver now compiles, but mixes accesses to the legacy_mode field and the newer mode field, but with the previous semantics. This obviously doesn't work very well, so we need to update the accesses that weren't in the legacy renaming commit. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
