commit 6e20753da6bc651e02378a0cdb78f16c42098c88 upstream. conmakehash uses getenv("abs_srctree") from the environment to strip the absolute path from the generated sources. However since commit e2bad142bb3d ("kbuild: unexport abs_srctree and abs_objtree") this environment variable no longer gets set. Instead use basename() to indicate the used file in a comment of the generated source file. Fixes: 3bd85c6c97b2 ("tty: vt: conmakehash: Don't mention the full path of the input in output") Cc: stable <stable@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Max Krummenacher <max.krummenacher@toradex.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/stable/20240725132056.9151-1-max.oss.09%40gmail.com Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20240725132056.9151-1-max.oss.09@gmail.com Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
