[ Upstream commit 4e47382fbca916d7db95cbf9e2d7ca2e9d1ca3fe ] Warn about invalid var->left_margin or var->right_margin. Their values are read from the device tree. We store var->left_margin-3 and var->right_margin-1 in register fields. These fields should be >= 0. Fixes: 7e8549bcee00 ("imxfb: Fix margin settings") Signed-off-by: Martin Kaiser <martin@kaiser.cx> Signed-off-by: Helge Deller <deller@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Sasha Levin <sashal@kernel.org>
Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
