EtherAVB hardware requires 0 to be written to status register bits in order to clear them, however, care must be taken not to: 1. Clear other bits, by writing zero to them 2. Write one to reserved bits This patch corrects the ravb driver with respect to the second point above. This is done by defining reserved bit masks for the affected registers and, after auditing the code, ensure all sites that may write a one to a reserved bit use are suitably masked. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
