The powernow-k8 driver will do checks at startup that the current active driver is acpi-cpufreq and show a warning when they're not expected. Because of this the following warning comes up on systems that support amd-pstate and compiled in both drivers: `WTF driver: amd-pstate` The systems that support powernow-k8 will not support amd-pstate, so re-order the checks to validate the CPU model number first to avoid this warning being displayed on modern SOCs. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
