TCP uses sk_eat_skb() when skbs can be removed from receive queue. However, the call to skb_orphan() from __kfree_skb() incurs an indirect call so sock_rfee(), which is more expensive than a direct call, especially for CONFIG_RETPOLINE=y. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
