We can't check for the ACPI table revision validity in the same if where we check if the package was read correctly, because we return PTR_ERR(pkg) and if the table is not valid but the pointer is, we would return a valid pointer as an error. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
