commit b64149ca016c25f30b39ac5a8f37cfb9017e19bb upstream. xhci_disable_slot() is a helper for disabling a slot when a device goes away or recovers from error situations. Currently, it checks the corespoding virt-dev pointer and returns directly (w/o issuing disable slot command) if it's null. This is unnecessary and will cause problems in case where virt-dev allocation fails and xhci_disable_slot() is called to roll back the hardware state. Refer to the implementation of xhci_alloc_dev(). This patch removes lines to check virt-dev in xhci_disable_slot(). Fixes: f9e609b82479 ("usb: xhci: Add helper function xhci_disable_slot().") Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
