[ Upstream commit 0cd0e49711556d2331a06b1117b68dd786cb54d2 ] Call order on probe(): - max14656_hw_init() enables interrupts on the chip - devm_request_irq() starts processing interrupts, isr could be called immediately - isr: schedules delayed work (irq_work) - irq_work: calls power_supply_changed() - devm_power_supply_register() registers the power supply Depending on timing, it's possible that power_supply_changed() is called on an unregistered power supply structure. Fix by registering the power supply before requesting the irq. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
