[ Upstream commit b8962a9d8cc2d8c93362e2f684091c79f702f6f3 ] Before commit 9542e6a643fc6 ("nfsd: Containerise filecache laundrette") nfsd would close open files in direct reclaim context and that could cause a deadlock when fsnotify mark allocation went into direct reclaim and nfsd shrinker tried to free existing fsnotify marks. To avoid issues like this in future code, set the FSNOTIFY_GROUP_NOFS flag on nfsd fsnotify group to prevent going into direct reclaim from fsnotify_add_inode_mark(). Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
