The scmi bus now has support to match the driver with devices not only based on their protocol id but also based on their device name if one is available. This was added to cater the need to support multiple devices and drivers for the same protocol. Let us add the name "genpd" to scmi_device_id table in the driver so that in matches only with device with the same name and protocol id SCMI_PROTOCOL_POWER. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
