commit a663bd19114d79f0902e2490fc484e5a7419cdc2 upstream. The driver refuses to probe with -EINVAL since the commit 5d9814df0aec ("clocksource/drivers/dw_apb_timer_of: Add error handling if no clock available"). Before the driver used to probe successfully if either "clock-freq" or "clock-frequency" properties has been specified in the device tree. That commit changed if (A && B) panic("No clock nor clock-frequency property"); into if (!A && !B) return 0; That's a bug: the reverse of `A && B` is '!A || !B', not '!A && !B' Signed-off-by: Vadim V. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
