Ido Schimmel says: ==================== mlxsw: Add support for transceiver modules reset This patchset prepares mlxsw for future transceiver modules related [1] changes and adds reset support via the existing 'ETHTOOL_RESET' interface. Patches #1-#6 are relatively straightforward preparations. Patch #7 tracks the number of logical ports that are mapped to the transceiver module and the number of logical ports using it that are administratively up. Needed for both reset support and power mode policy support. Patches #8-#9 add required fields in device registers. Patch #10 implements support for ethtool_ops::reset in order to reset transceiver modules. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
