[ Upstream commit 50791f5d7b6a14b388f46c8885f71d1b98216d1d ] Channel 1 has polarity bits for vsync and hsync signals but driver never sets them. It turns out that with pre-HDMI2 controllers seemingly there is no issue if polarity is not set. However, with HDMI2 controllers (H6) there often comes to de-synchronization due to phase shift. This causes flickering screen. It's safe to assume that similar issues might happen also with pre-HDMI2 controllers. Solve issue with setting vsync and hsync polarity. Note that display stacks with tcon top have polarity bits actually in tcon0 polarity register. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
