When performing a Comedi read instruction or setting up an asynchronous command on the AI subdevice, clear any stale data on the A/D registers by waiting for the Status register's BUSY bit to clear (if set) and then if the FINISH or ERR bit is set, reading the A/D Data register twice to clear the stale data. ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:

There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
