@subbuf is an output parameter of xdr_buf_subsegment(). A survey of call sites shows that @subbuf is always uninitialized before xdr_buf_segment() is invoked by callers. There are some execution paths through xdr_buf_subsegment() that do not set all of the fields in @subbuf, leaving some pointer fields containing garbage addresses. Subsequent processing of that buffer then results in a page fault. ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
