commit 76ed2e105796710cf5b8a4ba43c81eceed948b70 upstream. This reverts commit 2ae11c46d5fdc46cb396e35911c713d271056d35. It turned out to break the ultra96-rev1, e.g., which uses uart1 as serial0 (and stdout-path = "serial0:115200n8"). Fixes: 2ae11c46d5fd ("tty: xilinx_uartps: Fix missing id assignment to the console") Cc: stable <stable@vger.kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Jan Kiszka <jan.kiszka@siemens.com> Reviewed-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com> Tested-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/f4092727-d8f5-5f91-2c9f-76643aace993@siemens.com Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
