[ Upstream commit b67e830d38fa9335d927fe67e812e3ed81b4689c ] On K3 family of SoCs (which includes AM654 SoC), it is observed that RX TIMEOUT is signalled after RX FIFO has been drained, in which case a dummy read of RX FIFO is required to clear RX TIMEOUT condition. Otherwise, this would lead to an interrupt storm. Fix this by introducing UART_RX_TIMEOUT_QUIRK flag and doing a dummy read in IRQ handler when RX TIMEOUT is reported with no data in RX FIFO. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
