[ Upstream commit ad436b9c1270c40554e274f067f1b78fcc06a004 ] snprintf returns the length of the formatted string, excluding the trailing null, without accounting for truncation. This means that is the return value is greater than or equal to the size parameter, the fw_version string was truncated. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
