commit d087e0f79fa0dd336a9a6b2f79ec23120f5eff73 upstream. Some instructions update the cpu execution mode, which needs to update the emulation mode. Extract this code, and make assign_eip_far use it. assign_eip_far now reads CS, instead of getting it via a parameter, which is ok, because callers always assign CS to the same value before calling this function. No functional change is intended. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
