commit 9f9797c7de18d2ec6be4ef6e0abbaea585040b39 upstream. On newer hardware, a queue's RB status / write pointer can be bigger than 4095 (0xFFF), so we cannot mask the value by 0xFFF unconditionally. Since anyway that's only necessary on older hardware, move the masking to the helper function and apply it only for older HW. This also moves the endian conversion in to handle it more easily. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
