[ Upstream commit 8905072a192fffe9389255489db250c73ecab008 ] The driver could only quit allmulti when allmulti and promisc modes are turn on at the same time. If promisc had been off there was no way to turn off allmulti mode. The patch corrects this behavior. Switching allmulti does not depends on promisc state mode anymore Fixes: f42a5c74da99 ("i40e: Add allmulti support for the VF") Signed-off-by: Piotr Marczak <piotr.marczak@intel.com> Tested-by: Tony Brelinski <tony.brelinski@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Nguyen <anthony.l.nguyen@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Sasha Levin <sashal@kernel.org>
Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
