Signed integer overflow is undefined according to the C standard. The overflow in ksys_fadvise64_64() is deliberate, but since it is signed overflow, UBSAN complains: UBSAN: Undefined behaviour in mm/fadvise.c:76:10 signed integer overflow: 4 + 9223372036854775805 cannot be represented in type 'long long int' Use unsigned types to do math. Unsigned overflow is defined so UBSAN will not complain about it. This patch doesn't change generated code. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
