Uwe Kleine-König says: ==================== net: mdio: Convert to platform remove callback returning void this series convert all platform drivers below drivers/net/mdio to use remove_new. The motivation is to get rid of an integer return code that is (mostly) ignored by the platform driver core and error prone on the driver side. See commit 5c5a7680e67b ("platform: Provide a remove callback that returns no value") for an extended explanation and the eventual goal. There are no interdependencies between the patches. As there are still quite a few drivers to convert, I'm happy about every patch that makes it in. So even if there is a merge conflict with one patch until you apply, please apply the remainder of this series anyhow. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
