The "head" pointer can't be NULL because it points to an address in the middle of a ufs_hba struct. Looking at this code, probably someone would wonder if the intent was to check whether "hba" is NULL, but "hba" isn't NULL and the check can just be removed. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
