This reverts commit 1d6cd2146c2b58bc91266db1d5d6a5f9632e14c0 which was mistakenly added into v6.6.y and the commit corresponding to the 'Fixes:' tag is invalid. For more information, see link [1]. This will result in the loss of Crashkernel data in /proc/iomem, and kdump failed: ``` Memory for crashkernel is not reserved Please reserve memory by passing"crashkernel=Y@X" parameter to kernel Then try to loading kdump kernel ``` After revert, kdump works fine. Tested on QEMU riscv. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
