commit 1861ba626ae9b98136f3e504208cdef6b29cd3ec upstream. A recently added error path does not mark ring unused when exiting on OOM, which will lead to BUG on the next entry in debug builds. TODO: refactor code so we have START_USE and END_USE in the same function. Fixes: fc6d70f40b3d ("virtio_ring: check desc == NULL when using indirect with packed") Cc: "Xuan Zhuo" <xuanzhuo@linux.alibaba.com> Cc: Jiasheng Jiang <jiasheng@iscas.ac.cn> Reviewed-by: Xuan Zhuo <xuanzhuo@linux.alibaba.com> Signed-off-by: Michael S. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
